The car has been traded for a DD. 1850lb Civic GSR turbo pushing 350whp @ 14psi, racing against a decently built LS1 Firebird Trans Am.. then a ride along video in a MazdaSpeed Miata pushing 240hp @ 15 psi with Methanol/Water Injection racing against the Civic *Car weighed 1850 without driver, only steering wheel, gauges, and seats were all that were inside. cut frame horns off, fully gutted hood and hatch, open downpipe, no heat shielding, bumper supports removed, no wipers or motors, no p/s or a/c, no sound deadening, every other roof support removed, HX wheels that are much lighter, every single piece of metal removed that does not mess with the structure.

My 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata hit a patch of black ice on the highway the evening of January 10, 2009, while going about 65 MPH. I lost control of the car, and spun a 360, in the process of which the car hit the guard rail at both the front and rear of the car. No other cars where involved, but from my reckoning, the car is totaled. We were on Rt 93 South, south of Boston in Milton, MA, just before exit 6. While we were talking to the responding State trooper, we witnessed several other cars lose control, spinning, and piling up. At least 6 other cars were involved in the chain of events, seemingly unrelated to my incident, but obviously due to the same icy road conditions. As Im watching the evening news right now, I just learned about a 60 car pile-up on Rt 93 in New Hampshire... Not my incident, but same thing again. This video was taken on January 23, 2009 at the tow lot where the car was brought after the accident. Please drive safe, everybody!
