2012 Acura TL 3.5L Start Up, Quick Tour, & Rev With Exhaust View - 11K
2012 Acura TL
This TL has the entry 280 HP 3.5L SOHC VTEC V6 & it's paired to a 6 speed auto which is new for 2012.
Decent car but there were a few quick here & there in terms of Fit & Finish. The 3.5L delivers impressive MPG's but I would high recommend the 3.7L V6 for the extra punch (305 HP). Car of this class in standard form ought to be delivering over 300 HP.
Would really be great is if Honda/Acura brought back the Type-S & offer it with a Twin turbo V6 Mmmmmm

The TL falls right in the middle of Acura's luxury car line-up and offers the perfect blend of performance and luxury plus it looks so sexy. The base price for the 2012 Acura TL is $35,705 with the top of the line model starting at $45,185.
The 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD is powered by a 3.7 liter V-6 engine featuring VTEC and a high flow Exhaust system. This engine makes 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway with the automatic transmission. The entry level models get a 3.5 liter V-6 engine that puts out 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft. of torque. Besides being less expensive, this engine gets much better gas mileage at 20 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.
The interior of the 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD is quite comfortable. The seats produced by Acura may just be the best in the business. The driver seat is 10-way adjustable while the passenger is an 8-way adjustable unit. Both front seats are heated and you can opt for the Advance Package which adds cooling. The rear seats are spacious and can comfortably accommodate 3 passengers. Other interior features are the dual-mode climate control, Bluetooth, Push-Button Start, optional ELS Stereo Surround System, and Navigation just to name a few.
The Acura TL is one of the IIHS Top Safety Picks for 2012 and with good reason. The TL benefits from ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution, and Brake Assist. The Vehicle Stability Assist works to keep the vehicle on the road at all times. A wonderful six-airbag system helps to decrease crash severity for the occupants.
The 6-speed manual gearbox paired with the SH-AWD system results in a competent performance car. With the 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD you are getting the best of both worlds!
