This is just a sound sample of my RX8 with a Borla catback Exhaust coupled with a Racing Beat Dual Resonated midpipe.

2004 RX8 Supercharged

RX8 exhaust with no muffler or resonator
First was muffler removal. Then went ahead and removed the resonator that is right behind the catalytic converter. Note how the idle always settles back down into a distinguished noise, now that there is no resonator smearing the pulses. Keeping cat for emissions, and backpressure to open the last 2 of 6 ports. I'm waiting to post some higher rpm sounds, once engine #3 is broken in. This video is engine #2, I parked it for 2 years and only had a couple fillups. Unfortunately I'm on engine #3 now, never fully broke in engine #2 for higher rpm sound capture.
