Any thoughts on what it sounds and why it does not start?
The first two sounds I'm guessing are the solenoid and the starter not working, the following click sounds are when trying to turn it on after contact... the other sound that comes is when trying to turn it on from zero.
1994 Subaru Legacy will not start (timing belt jumped)

1994 Subaru Legacy EJ22 5-speed AWD. Died on highway last month and would
not restart. Have been getting diagnostic help from

Car was running perfectly before this. I bought it in October, 2006 with
204,000 miles on it and have driven and maintained it since then. Was a
reliable daily driver until last month and handled my 90 mile round trip
commute with ease in al weather.
UPDATE - car has since been fixed and sold. Traced issue to a jumped timing
belt (idler pulley had seized). Car would crank OK, but would not start,

Servicing/rebuild your starter motor
When most starters quit, they only need a clean-up of water or oil
ingression and carbon dust deposits, their brushes and commutators are
New starters cost hundreds $ and any parts could be hard to find. Servicing
them with a bit of creativity could save you some money. Brushes could be
somehow extended but the commutator segments have to be long enough.
Brushes could be as short as 5.5mm not 55mm, my slip.
Do maintain electrical separation between the baseplate + housing + 2 bare
wired brushes (ground side) and cable terminal + 2 insulated brushes +
armature coil (battery positive terminal side).
Total service time on this starter: 1 hr
