GM 3800 Series II Supercharged Piston Assembly
This is a crude video I created for my 3D Mechanical Modeling class. It's an Autodesk Inventor part assembly and animation of a piston assembly for a GM 3800 Series 2 Supercharged engine. There are some minor flaws in the video, but I was under a time crunch to get the project finished, and it gets the point across. Feel free to leave feedback and suggestions, I know the video is edited poorly.

This 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona is a clean, frame up restored trophy winner which wraps a numbers matching drivetrain and all original sheetmetal in a highly desirable color combination.
From its extended nose to its functional, two foot tall rear wing, this investment grade Daytona features an exceptionally straight, all original body that was perfected over a multi-year restoration. Once the cars panels had been thoroughly massaged and aligned to better than factory standards, a slick coat of correct Chrysler Bright Blue Metallic was topped with a correct white Daytona stripe and buffed to the glass-smooth finish you see here.
Fully sorted and ready to both show and go, the 375 horsepower, 440 cubic inch Magnum V8 under this Daytonas hood has been completely rebuilt to factory specifications. At the top of the motor, a correct Carter 4-barrel carburetor mixes air from a satin black air filter with fuel from fresh stainless fuel lines. Below that carburetor, correct Hemi Orange paint coats the block from intake to oil pan, and correct cast iron Exhaust manifolds make quick work of spent gases. At the front of the motor, a correct points distributor sends fire through reproduction Chrysler Electronic Suppression wires, and a correct 26 inch heavy duty radiator sends water through reproduction Chrysler hoses and era correct clamps. The big RB block sits in an expertly detailed engine bay which features both new wear items and correct accessories like a reproduction Mopar red cap battery, a correct master cylinder, a correct Chrysler overflow tank and a complete set of correct decals. Raise the hood and the orange block with its chrome and stainless details looks great against the Bright Blue Metallic engine bay. Turn the key and the car springs to life, pulls just as hard as when it was new and sounds amazing.
Like its Magnum V8, this Chargers numbers matching A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic has been completely rebuilt and works flawlessly. Power flows from that stalwart transmission to a Chrysler 8.75 rear end which displays correct chalk marks and rides on a rebuilt leaf spring suspension. At the front of the car, a rebuilt torsion bar suspension benefits from correct power steering and makes good use of a thick factory sway bar. And at the corners of the car, red manual drum brakes assure fade-free stops while providing an unmatched vintage feel. Despite its appearance as a traditional body on frame muscle car, the Daytona is actually a unitary monocoque design which aids in both stability and weight. As with the body of the car, 'clean' is the name of the game down below; solid original floor pans feature factory correct blue overspray, a new fuel tank and fuel lines ensure safety and reliability, and a mandrel bent stainless Exhaust system benefits from an H-pipe cross over and roars through two factory replacement mufflers. All of this Mopar goodness rolls on a traditional set of great looking 14 inch Magnum 500 wheels which wear fresh F70-14 Goodyear Speedway wide tread whitewall tires.
Inside this awesome Dodge, a correct code C6D blue vinyl interior carries enough visual sizzle to match the cars outrageous sheet metal. According to restoration photos, the seats were completely rebuilt and today, display no significant signs of wear. At the top of the cabin, a new blue headliner is tight and stain-free, and at the bottom of the cabin, new carpeting sits under color coordinated, "Dodge" branded mats and a floor mounted fire extinguisher. The un-cracked dash pad and excellent door panels look as fresh as when they rolled out of a Chrysler assembly plant and feature rebuilt gauges, a Dodge Solid State AM radio, new emblems and new handles. Between the seats, a correct console wears functional courtesy lights, vibrant wood applique and a new chrome shifter. And in front of the driver, a traditional blue steering wheel holds a silver horn bar behind a classic Dodge fratzog emblem.
With a smooth, numbers matching powertrain, all original sheet metal and enough visual flash to stand out in a mirror factory, this awesome Mopar is about as close to the ultimate muscle car as you can get! Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com for more information on this awesome car!
