Hey guys and gals! I decided to compile a video for your viewing pleasure comparing the sounds of a V8 and a V10 Ferrari F1 engine. I wanted to capture an onboard view of the drivers making their hotlaps to make the engine comparison more noticeable. The two drivers in the video are Kimi Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher.

Citroen GT (the white car) + Citroen Survolt (the black/green car).
The Citroën GT is a concept car that has been developped by Citroën and Polyphony Digital, the studio behind the famous game Gran Turismo. Indeed, this car was meant only for the videogame, but the people liked it so much, Citroën actually BUILT the damn thing! Apparently there were meant to be 6 Citroen GT in the world, for a price of 1,5 million euros. But they didn't commercialize the concept, so I'm leaning rather towards a UNIQUE model (although apparently 6 or 7 were made, but this is the only one we see out there so...). This car has a V8 engine that gives 640 horse power to the beast, giving it the opportunity to reach the speed of 330 km/h. I hope you can hear the engine noise as much as I did in real life = it's really loud !!! The Citroën Survolt (electric car) is also there! ;)
This was taken today during the Citroën Creative tour, at the Invalides in Paris (métro invalides). This event will be held until sunday 26th (june 2011). So you still have time to go and see this beast on the road (test drives at 11AM, 2PM and 5PM). Enjoy!

Someone forgot to fill the crankcase with oil before they started this Inline 6 Ford 300 engine. The next shot was after they added oil. Poor engine!

It has been a truly awesome moment for me to film the Ferrari F2005 F1 screaming around Fiorano. As the car came back to the pitlane, an epic 412t2 F1 went on the track, it was unbelievable to hear in the same day the glorious V12 and V10 noises of the good old F1. Which is the sound you like most? Feel free to leave a comment below, be sure to turn up the speakers and enjoy the incredible accelerations and downshifts.
