2/10/2013 (Day After Blizzard Nemo)
This was a tricky chase! I didn't know where to start... I heard this plow extra was on its way to Brunswick on the scanner. When we got to Brunswick, they said on the scanner they were going back west. That worried me a bit because when I heard that, we were still on the Interstate and didn't know if we'd make it in time. We made it to Grant Road with a few minutes to spare. After Grant Road, it got a bit harder becasue I am not too familiar with the Brunswick/Freeport area. The traffic was slow through there which made it harder to keep up, too. We caught up to it again at Mill Road and had seconds to spare! After that, we went to Intervale Road where we met the Empty Oil Train.
*Note: Mill Road was shaky becasue we made it as soon as the crossing signals activated
At Intervale Road, the Empty Oil Train took the mainline and passed the snow plow that was on the siding. The plow came through after the oil train cleared.

The second location is Mill Road in North Yarmouth, ME and the third is Intervale Road in New Gloucester, ME.

2011.1.30 北陸本線 富山県西部 JAPAN RAILWAY JR-Hokuriku Line. Toyama, JAPAN.
大雪に見舞われた北陸本線をゆっくりと走行するサンダーバードと普通電車です。
この日は大雪により終日ダイヤが乱れ、降り積もる雪の中をゆっくりと走行していました。この後も雪は降り続いて北陸地方は記録的な大雪となり、翌日は全線運休となりました。
また3本目に通過するサンダーバード号の映像では、先頭車両の下部に取り付けられている除雪板（スノープラウ）による除雪の様子が確認できます。

I drove over snowy Donner Pass in an attempt to catch the rotary in action, and found it parked at Truckee, CA. I caught it doing many things EXCEPT throwing snow, but recorded video anyway to cherish this rare and historic occasion.

Extreme smoking by KZJ ALCo @ 103kmph with Udyan express !!!
Its a 3rd case in a row for me , expected a EMD but got an ALCo that too a KZJ one !!! This time its SBC bound 16529 Udyan express running about 35 min late with KZJ WDM3A taking the off link honours of the day .... But to be true i got what the ALCo is typically famous for , the huge smoke as it accelerates on the up gradient and belts past me at around 103kmph :) :) Was a classic display of smoking by the KZJ Demmer :) :)

A SD70M is in the lead of a two engine "plow train" bashing through the snow along the Union Pacific's Belvidere sub. After the day's major snowstorm.
A tip from Dave Hawley and further updates from Clarke got me in position to catch this run. It was just a few minutes before sunset and I was concerned about the diminishing light. But I think it worked out for the best.
Engineer Hawley plays a mean horn.

German express steam loco class 01.5 departs Ebersbach / Saxony in severe coldness and snow flurry. The 01.5 class has been reconstructed in the former East Germany ( GDR ) from the series 01 Pacific ( " Einheitslokomotive " DRG ). There were machines with oil- and coalfire.
