2013 Subaru BRZ vs Porsche 911 Carrera S Mile High Mashup Review

They both have a similar type of flat engine, they both seat 2 comfortaby but you can get 4 people into the cars in a pinch, and they are both are classic rear wheel drive sports cars. Of course the Porsche cost 4X the money and has exactly 2X the horsepower of the BRZ and yet it is currently and possibly the most desired car by twenty something year olds. The Porsche is verging on super car status and yet it is possibly the most desired car by forty something year olds. The FR-S is a well balanced machine that focuses more on handling that outright power. Out back the 2013 Scion FR-S features LED tail lights and a great dual Exhaust. The 17-inch alloy rims are wrapped in summer tires. Under the hood is a 2.0 liter Boxer engine that makes 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft. of torque. The Boxer engine sits very low in the chassis which is reflected in the Scion FR-S's low center of gravity. The first thing you notice when getting into the 2013 Scion FR-S is how low the seats are. In fact you are sitting only 15 inches above the ground. This minimizes body roll and helps to maximize handling capabilities. The FR-S sits lower than a Porsche Cayman and just a bit higher than a Ferrari 360. The leather wrapped steering wheel is just over 14 inches and features integrated controls. The steering column is also fully adjustable to meet the driver's needs. The 2013 Scion FR-S is purpose built to be a very affordable sporty car. In fact Scion has made many engineering and design choices around the fact that most owners will want to modify this vehicle in one way or another.
