Plasti Dip my Subaru!
PLEASE STOP BY MY BUSINESS PAGE AND "LIKE" US ON FACEBOOK! http://www.facebook.com/CfCustoms UPDATE 9/8/2012: Check out this link to see the new walk around video of the car, 3 months after it was painted! Still looks perfect! http://youtu.be/-eS8tUXK-AM Plasti dipped my 2002 subaru 2.5rs matte black with plasti dip rims matte black UPDATE: 6/26/2012 The biggest question I have been getting is how many gallons of paint did I use, and how much thinner? To answer the question I used 2 gallons of black plasti dip (bought on www . dipyourcar . com) When you buy the 2 gallons they include 2 pints of thinner, one pint of thinner per gallon. The gallons come with enough room to add the pint of thinner right into the gallon can to mix shake and get it well blended. Another question is how is the texture, There is no texture to the paint if applied correctly. Take your time! What sprayer did I use? I used the Wagner Control Spray paint sprayer.

Blacked Out Emblems with Plasti Dip
This product is awesome. It's not permanent, so you can mess up as much as you want. It's easy to apply. It's easy to remove. Try it on anything, if you don't like it just peel it off. I blacked out my emblems on my Nissan 370z. It looks really good if you want the "blacked out" look. Keep in mind that I was filming this with one hand and using my other hand to peel off the Plasti Dip, so I apologize for all the grunting and stuff. No homo. Common Answer #1: You will need approximately 3 cans to spray all four wheels using 4 coats on each wheel. Common Answer #2: You can buy Plasti Dip at Home Depot, Lowes, and OSH. Common Answer #3: Yes, it's safe to drive through the car wash and pressure wash over the Plasti Dip, but I wouldn't recommend it. Common Answer #4: It's not necessary to spray the inner wheel wells. I just sprayed the face of the wheel. Common Answer #5: The newspaper masking was to prevent over spray and makes cleaning up easier and quicker. Lastly, I made this video to show the car enthusiast community, who are interested in blacking out their emblems, a much easier way to do so without removing the emblem and painting it or buying a whole new black emblem. Plasti Dip can result in different textures depending on the outside temperature and how close/far you spray. Try it and see what works best for your specific application. Watch in 1080p for best viewing pleasure.

A Rattle Can Spray Job On "The Red Rodent" :D
This video is 'starting' to show the 'end result' on the 3rd day of painting Johns 500 euro car (bought YEARS ago for that amount BTW) using over the counter gloss enamel paint 'rattle cans'. It did get 1 more top coat of rattle can 'Royal Regal Red' (as I call it) later on & then it was let to dry for a few more days - the paint would have been 'cut back' using a compound to bring up a TOTAL MIRROR FINISH - but the car was scrapped in a fender-bender before that could happen :( It's shiny already in this video but you haven't seen the way it turned out & I've no vids of it. A black primer coat was used & that's why it needed 1 more top coat to give a REALLY REALLY DEEP RED coloured finish :D Note that the roof & bonet have 1 less coat of paint in this vid than the rest of the car - so you can still see the black primer coat underneath. I think it was around 12 cans that were used & we couldn't find any more of them at the time of painting so the roof & bonet were left short a few coats.

Matte Black Trick - Custom Paint Tip When Spraying Matte or Flat Colors
http://CollisionBlast.com - When spraying matte or flat colors, I have a quick simple trick for you to try. This method does require basic buffing skills so be sure to try this on a test panel to perfect method before trying on your car paint finish. The end result makes a very cool custom paint effect, which does not have any paint lines. I don't know if there is anyone else using this method or if they have had satisfactory results. All I know is that it worked well when we have performed it. I recommend trying on a test panel to determine if you like the results or not.
