Peugeot 307 SW has a distinctive styling, nimble handling, practical and is one of those cars that come with additional seating capacity of additional kids. There are lots of improvements in this model such as ample of legroom and headroom, wide variety of engine choices and excellent levels of safety. It is available in traditional estate as well, those who are looking for additional seating capacity. The 307 SW is available in two engines: 2.0 and 1.6 and they both are quite fast, but not refined. The 1.6 liter engine is a great combination of economy and performance. There are diesel models with 2.0 liter engine that generate either 90 or 110 horsepower. These models were replaced in the year 2005, with two 1.6 HDI engines in 110bhp or 90bhp forms. The 2.0 liter engine is capable of generating 136bhp and the diesel engines are best suitable for family car concept.The Peugeot 307 SW is not that good and fun to drive like 306 Estate model which is annoying, but comes with safety features like more rigid body, reduced electronic gizmos and safety airbags. Overall it is easy, solid and safe to drive with one problem such as light steering which is very difficult to park as the rear pillars restrict visibility and are chunky. Suspensions are quite soft which can easily absorb the bumps, but cannot roll around corners. The main feature in 307 SW is the two additional seats which can accommodate only kids. However there is lot of shoulder room and legroom which is very good with comfortable and supportive seats. The big panoramic glass makes for light and airy interior.
The two additional seats in this Peugeot eat up the cargo capacity which is very difficult to access and is only suitable for small children. All back seats can be folded or removed, while the second row can accommodate three passengers. The cabin inside is equipped with top notch quality materials and the driving position is highly comfortable and adjustable for driver. The seats are supportive and comfortable especially for long distance journeys, while the pedals are suitable for those who have smaller feet. All 307 SW models come with standard safety features such as six airbags including rear and front curtain bags. The four-star rating of Euro NCAP is quite impressive with its Electronic Brake and ABS Braking System. There are other features such as remote control central locking system and effective deadlocks and immobilizer. The electrical multiplexing system in 307 SW will definitely improve the reliability. Those who are looking for lots of safety equipments, excellent ride quality and solid build quality; Peugeot 307 SW is the best choice.production since 2001. In the year 2002, it was awarded the European Car of the Year title. Production continues to this day for the Peugeot 307, despite the launch of the 308, the intended successor to the Peugeot 307. The hatchback production models were first introduced back in European markets in 2001as the successor to the 306. The Peugeot 307s were sold worldwide in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, but not in Canada. Peugeot 307s were even sent to Mexico and were sold in a 1.6 and 2.0 liter engines which were gasoline powered.
The Peugeot 307 made use of a reworked 306 platform, which is consistent with the Citroen Xsara and the Citroen ZX. Despite using the same platform, the 307 is much larger than the 306 in every direction. The styling consistent with the 307 was first seen on the Peugeot 206 and Peugeot 607 models. The Peugeot styling came with upswept headlights and a highly sloped windscreen. The styling seen on the 206 was the first departure from the Pininfarina styling and the 307 is consistent with this departure. The Peugeot 307 has a height of 59.4 inches which lands itself in the middle of the spectrum between small family cars and compact MPVs. Some people even consider the 307 as a low compact MPV because of its height and profile. The wedge shaped body of the Peugeot 307 gives it a very long front end, but the car is equipped with four doors, making the Peugeot 307 a family car
