The Skoda Yeti is a well-priced 'crossover' alternative to conventional family hatchbacks like the Ford Focus. The majority of Yetis are front-wheel drive, but the raised suspension does mean it'll venture further off road than most regular cars, while speed bumps in town hold absolutely no fear.

The Skoda Yeti has sharp steering and fine body control which make it fun to drive; plus, it's great for families thanks to a massive cabin with versatile seating. The 4x4 model is surprisingly capable off-road, too.
There's a lot of wind- and road noise and the ride is jittery. The removable rear seats are heavy to lift out and awkward to replace.

standard Skoda Yeti 1.8 4x4 on standard tires during aan off road training in rainy weather. First attempt with too little power and I choked the engine but second attempt went better.
