Pro Stock Drag Racing in the '70s and '80s
Some pictures that I took of Pro Stockers back in the '70s and '80s along with a clip from the Diamond P video "Decade Of Thrills" Note... the last photo, at 6:43, before the video clip is one that I took from the grandstands at the '83 US Nationals showing Lee Shepherd in the lead at that point. But as the video shows, Bob Glidden drove around him to take the title. Great Racin'!!
Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins Inducted into IMHall of Fame/Talladeg
TALLADEGA, Ala., April 25, 2008 - NHRA Drag Racing great Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame on April 24. At Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Ga., the following day, Jenkins, along with Pro Stock racing greats Jim Yates, Kurt Johnson and Greg Anderson were recognized for their milestone wins in the category.

The Rollin' Thunder Jet Car is a custom moulded Honda Civic complete with ground effects. It features a Westinghouse-built J34 jet engine from an old US Navy F2 McDonnell Douglas fighter jet, capable of burning 30 litres of fuel in six seconds, generating 6,000 horsepower and 12,000 lbs of thrust at speeds of 250 miles per hour!
