my Grand Am GT 3400 Supercharged - 1st gen RSM Supercharger Kit
Supercharged with one of the first RSM kits to come out. Drives and pushes Boost however needs work:
PCM is only programmed by RSM and uses no MAF. MAF is not installed.
This is a 1999 motor I put in after the original blew up.
Battery will not charge. Its a mystery to me. Multiple alternators were tested.
Stock Throttle Body and Headers. My '00 TB would not fir the '99 motor.
Serpentine Belt frayed on one side
Vibrating felt at times. It could be from the SC Driveshaft under tension. I drove this motor swap many miles without a problem but I could not tell if the vibration is from an internal problem or the SC Driveshaft. I dont have time to troubleshoot this.
Supercharger is driven by a long driveshaft. The downward pull on the pulley creates a slight bowing inside and occasionally shears the bolt connecting the shaft to the SC. I have had this shaft on and off twenty times. Sometimes it lasts a while and one time it broke the same day. The keyway has been worn down from these bolts breaking and another keyway may eventually need to be machined. I got it machined for 50 bucks last time.
Transmission will not shift properly at high speeds. It worked fine until I swapped the motor and changed the fluid. Could it be simply that the fluid level is incorrect?
Not inspected since 2008. Could possibly pass if you know someone. The main reason I never reinspected it was the battery is not anchored and the battery light is always on.

Mobile, it runs until you park it where needed.
Custom Bent Exhaust
LSDifferntial added to transmission and it was rebuilt with stronger parts
Its always nice when some tuner kid turns his head when he hears the blowoff valve or spooling when cruising

DIY: Wrapping Rims in Matte Black Vinyl
I wanted to try a new style for my winter rims, and instead of pinting them i wrapped them in vinyl, Costs about $10 a rim. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/321097538225 This short video shows you how to wrap a rim quickly(sped up 3x), There really is no downfall to doing this, faster and cheaper then painting, the vinyl only weighs .4 ounces or about 50 grams. and thats spread out throughout the rim and if you dont like it then just peal it off. Hey guys this is a little (crammed) 10 minute tutorial on how to paint your own rims AT HOME on your own. I've already did this once to my car a year ago but I grinded on a few curbs since then so I'm repainting them this year.
YOU WILL NEED:
- Duplicolor Paint (for rims only)
- Duplicolor Prep wipe
- Masking Tape
- Lots of news papers
- Car Soap
- A Jack
- Optional: A spare
- (for me) 5 hours
The Duplicolor paint can be found at any autozone store for JUST $5 BUCKS! You can read more about it and watch their own tutorial here:

The Basics in the nutshell:
- Remove wheels
- Clean wheels hardcore
- Wipe dry with paper towel
- (optional) sun dry
- Mask off area
- Wipe with duplicolor prepwipe
- Paint color then clear
- Dry to touch in 1 hour
- Drivable in 24 hours

Supercharged Grand Am GT
Okay. This is a Supercharged Grand-Am GT with a Vortech V-9 G blower. S&S headers, Bigger injectors, Borla Cat-Back, DHP tuned by myself, home built intake, beefed up transmission, and a few other goodies.
This Video is several years old and i am about to rebuild the engine with a bigger cam and maybe heads and rebuild the Supercharger kit hear soon, i will put up a new video with all of that if it gets done. (Sorry i am a college student and i really do not have the time or money to keep improving this DD)
