World's Greatest Drag Race 2!
It's back! The World's Greatest Drag Race returns with nine of the world's best supercars, sports cars, and muscle cars for 2012 facing off in an epic quarter-mile sprint for glory... and ultimate bragging rights! This year's field includes all nine contenders from Motor Trend's 2012 Best Driver's Car competition. We have the Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R Black Edition, Ford Shelby GT500, McLaren MP4-12C, Jaguar XKR-S, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Subaru BRZ, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 -- all gathered together on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest. Obviously these nine competitors display a wide range of power and performance, not to mention price tags. So why are we lining them all up again for one gigantic, over-the-top drag race? It's simple... Because We Can!

69 GTO Judge " Sounds Nasty " 4 Speed 2 1/2" Pypes Exhaust
1969 GTO Judge 1st. Cold start after being fully restored. The idle is a little high. It's a real PHS documented 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge. With a WS Ram Air III 400 CID engine, 4 Speed tranny. Running 3 tube hedman headers with a 2 1/2" Pypes with X crossover Exhaust system. I added lots of options including: Tilt, 8-Track, dual remote mirrors, maplight, Tinted windows, hideaway headlights, Exhaust tips, NOS Hurst emblem, Lojack, door edge guards, quick ratio power steering. The frame was powdercoated along with the control arms sway bar etc. The car had a rare Ram Air 4 Distributer that gives it a nice loopy sound along with a nasty cam.

This beast sports a twin turbo 522cid big block Chevy that screams out 1250hp on pump gas and a ridiculous 2000hp on race gas! Ever go 0 to 150mph in 5 seconds -- Butch can. Butch and his 3700lb Pontiac cruise the local streets (with parachute, of course) and run the quarter in 7 seconds. How many 70 year old men have the nuts to mash the throttle on 2000hp? Not sure, but Butch sure does. The Pontiac was transformed into this behemoth at Nelson Supercars.

1970 Pontiac LeMans Sport STK 1280.mp4
1970 Pontiac LeMans Sport was considered by Pontiac to be the car right below the GTO in its marketing line up. However, many have seen that equal too with the power options that were available. The LeMans along with its convertible body style make it much better than any hardtop to run down the production line. Under the hood is a numbers matching 350ci V8 with a 2 barrel carburetor with a TH350 automatic transmission putting the power to the rear wheels. The LeMans has had new paint, convertible top, windshield, rear floor pans, headlights, door handles, door seals, trunk seal, trunk paint, A pillar seals, carpet, alternator, radiator, dampers, tires, wheel cylinders, brake lines, front brake shoes, fuel lines, transmission lines, powder coated aprons, powder coated steel wheels and powder coated radiator support. This LeMans was optioned with seatbelts, power brakes, power top, hub caps and AM/FM/8 Track radio. The original interior has some wear but is in great shape for its age. This is truly a LeMans you need to come look at to believe how stunning it is.

This great GTO was featured in Car Craft magazine in 2003 (Dyno Proven engine combos). At that time it was Dyno'd at 313HP with 362lb-ft. Since then it has been fine tuned to even better performance.
