1987 Chrysler( Dodge) Daytona Shelby Z
It's unusual to see a Daytona in a car show..but this one is really special. It's the Canadian version of the Dodge Daytona, and is a Shelby edition, sporting a 5 speed manual and intercooled turbo 4. I had a regular turbo Chrysler Laser (twin to the Daytona) back in 1985. Moreover, I had the Dodge Shadow turbo in 1987. That was during my Pentastar Period!
1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z Cruise
I never seemed to have the opportunity to really give her gas in this. I never got above about 60% throttle, and didn't get close to the red line. Too much traffic. You can clearly hear the Blow off valve. Which, other than a muffler, is the only mod. on this car.
I hope you enjoy the cruise. I had to edit out parts because I didn't want to show other peoples tags on here. A while back when I posted the B.O.V. someone asked me to post a video when she was driving again. So here you go!
I had an accident back in October. I spun out,(wet road, animal in the road) and went into a ditch. It didn't hurt the body, but it messed up the K member (broken in three places). I drove it home without knowing this after the tow truck pulled me out. Any way, after a friend welded, and reinforced the K member she's back on the road.
1989 turbocharged chrysler lebaron 2.2 back to life--GOTSPL--
its the phantom. Been down for 11 months and its back ---Runs 14-15psi fwd i snapped in the middle of racing the front bracebar that attaches to the trans mount with the engine torge.it was originally welded so we drilled 6-3/4" bolts through the frame and it holds. then shortly afterwards the steering collum snapped in half while racing so it took us 11 months to figure out how to replace it with another model lebaron which doesnt come with blinkers or the right harness on the collum. When we cut off the other harness it effected the brake lights so were trying to fix it.
