Mazda2 review and road test 2013

The Mazda2 is one of those cars that ticks all of the boxes and yet manages
to remain under the radar.
With all of the winning credentials of a successful small car, its hard to
see why that is. The Mazda2 offers a range of good engines, a comfortable
interior and a stylish exterior - making it a key competitor in the
We take it on the road to see what it can really do.

The Mazda2 is a sporty alternative to established small cars like the
Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Fiesta. It's certainly one of the best looking
superminis, whether you choose the three or five-door, and it's great to
drive, too. Mazda has a strong record for reliability and although the 2's
cabin materials aren't the most appealing, it's well put together. and
sturdy. Standard equipment is generous and all the engines -- petrol or
diesel -- are cheap to run. Strong resale values make the Mazda a safe
place for your cash.

2011 Mazda 2 Sport 5-spd Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the all new 2011 Mazda 2
Sport. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of
this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique
styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details
of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough
tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall
appreciation of the vehicle.
In many ways, when you choose a subcompact car, you know what you're
getting (or squeezing) into. What owners of the 2013 Mazda2 sacrifice in
elbow room and cargo space, they get back in smiles thanks to a fun driving
experience, says Cars.com reviewer Jennifer Geiger. The Mazda2's 100-horsepower engine
feels "zippy," Geiger says. While the cleanly stylish interior is more
"grown-up" than the competing Ford Fiesta, hard-plastic surfaces and
cheap-looking vinyl need improvement — as does the tight backseat.
2013 Mazda2 Test Drive & Sub-Compact Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/mazda/mazda2/2013/ With gas prices on the never
ending rise, subcompact cars like the 2013 Mazda2 are becoming more
popular. 10 years ago there were few of these vehicles on the market. Now
it seems every manufacturer is looking to gain some ground in this niche.
The Mazda2 is one of the more popular subcompact cars thanks to its low
cost, good gas mileage ratings, and fun to drive characteristics. In
Europe, subcompact cars are the norm; but here in the U.S. they are just
now beginning to have an impact. The 2013 Mazda2 has a base price of
The Mazda2 started life out in Japan, Europe, and Australia back in 2007.
But this little car can trace its roots back to the late 1990's as the
Demio. The Mazda2 appeared here in the U.S. as a 2011 model. Usually
subcompact cars are bland and boring little appliances suited for
monotonous driving situations. The Mazda2 is just the opposite as this
little car is filled with style as evident by some of the extreme optional
Up front the Mazda2 still has the happy face bumper treatment that many
Mazda's vehicles share. Going forward though; look for a more aggressive
look as evident by the new 2014 Mazda6 redesign. There are some sporty
touches with the lower lip on the front fascia and the sharp looking
headlights. The 2013 Mazda2 share a lot of the design elements seen on its
larger siblings like the puffed out fenders and the side character line.
This car also gets 15-inch alloy wheels standard. Out back the roof spoiler
finishes off a pretty exciting exterior look for the subcompact car class.
Under the hood is a 1.5 liter MZR 4-cylinder engine capable of producing
100 horsepower and
98 lb-ft. of torque. That may not sound like much but keep in mind the 2013
Mazda2 is a feather weight at just over 2300 lbs. Fuel economy is great at
29 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway with the 5-speed manual.
The interior is almost the opposite as the exterior. The inside of the
Mazda2 is simple and minimalistic. But again this is the most entry level
vehicle Mazda makes so we are not expecting much. Surprisingly the 2013
Mazda2 does come with some nice features including: BlueTooth, IPod
connectivity, Steering wheel controls, air conditioning, and nice

2012 Mazda Mazda2 Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/mazda/mazda2/2012/ Here in America we think bigger
is better. But now with gas prices on the rise the smaller sub-compact car
is getting all the attention. Mazda brought over the 2012 Mazda2 to take on
the likes to the Nissan Versa and Honda Fit. The Mazda2 is a bit more
sporty and full of Zoom Zoom! There is no mistaking the 2012 Mazda2 for
anything else with its bright green paint and front bumper with a huge
Mazda kept things simple when it comes to the Mazda2. The base price is
$14,530 and the car is powered by a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes
100 horsepower and
98 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy checks in at 29 MPG in the city and 35
MPG on the highway. On the inside the Mazda features a driver focused
cockpit. The seat is cushioned, the manual transmission is perfectly place,
the gauges are easy to read, and the buttons are in the right place.
The 2012 Mazda2 is frugal, fun to drive, and practical. It is a fantastic
car. Mazda knows how to make a sporty car no matter the price point. The
2012 Mazda2 might be the most fun you can have with a 100 horsepower engine.
