Building a Locost 7 frame, at 240x speed acceleration. This is the start of my build and represents roughly 50 hours of work between 4/21 and 4/28/2007 to construct the basic frame. Run at roughly 1000x fast forward, it will only take you seven minutes.

5.0 V8 Lotus Seven replica (locost) TEST DRIVE
This is the second test drive of the V8 Lotus Super Seven replica I've been
building from the ground up. 3 years ago I started with nothing but some
square steel tubing, wire welder, and angle grinder. Thanks to everyone
that has supported me and helped me out.

a short attention span!)
Build a Locost 7: Step 3 -- Rear subframe
Hmmm...seems like there's a lot of work here and not much to show. Oh
well...such is life.
I mounted the rear subframe and built enough structure to hold it in place.
Note that the fabricator should be wearing eye protection when grinding.

How to build a Westfield Sports Car
Shows the construction of my Westfield Sport 2000 module build (lotus 7
inspired) sportscar. The engine is a ford duratec 2.0l with a Weber Alpha
throttle body injection (204hp), with lightened flywheel, sports clutch
plate (hydrolic), connected to an MT75 - 5 speed quick shift gearbox. This
is connected to a 3.92 LSD Ford 7" differential. Suspension is fully
independent and fully adjustable with a wide track front arrangement and
front and rear anti roll systems fitted. Brakes are AP racing 4 pot
(ventilated discs) at the front and VW golf mk4 solid discs at the rear,
operated by an AP Racing master cylinder.
Build a Locost 7: Step 2 -- How to strip a Miata in under 4 minutes.
How to strip a Miata in under 4 minutes. Goal: Pull everything worth
saving for the Locost 7 build: engine, rear subframe, uprights, hubs,
brakes, wiring harness (intact!), gauges, seats, steering rack, steering
column, Exhaust header, hardware, etc.
I probably should have sold the tub intact to a Spec Miata racer, but I
frankly couldn't get it out of the garage once it was not a roller.
BTW, this video works MUCH better in "High Quality," due to the jerky
nature of time-lapse video. There's a link for it just below the video's

Locost Adjustable Front Suspension - Part 3 of 3 - Coilover Shocks
A simple approach to an adjustable front suspension for a locost sevenesque
roadster . You can build a double wishbone suspension using off-the-shelf
parts and nearly any donor with just a tape measure and this simple DIY
process. The key to this solution is adjustability in those components
that matter the most (and that you can realistically control).

2013 Caterham R620 Development Car; one lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife
Caterham were here for the recent F1 GP at the Nürburgring. They brought
with them the engine and transmission test mule for the new R620 supercar.
This little green machine started life as 'just' an R500, before it got the
new SaDev sequential gearbox and the supercharged R620 motor. I was only
allowed one lap and I've got no prior experience with a flat-shifting
sequential, so I didn't go too crazy, but it was still quite quick...
