Volkswagen is jumping into the small SUV segment with its all-new Tiguan. As far as compact crossovers go, it serves up top-notch driving dynamics and a powerful, smooth drivetrain. But VW is sending this vehicle into incredibly crowded waters. Just about every other automaker builds a cute ute. Volkswagens never offered anything in this segment before and most of the competition has been building these kinds of vehicles for years. So, does the Tiguan really have what it takes to compete with the segment leaders?
Inside Lincoln Design - Autoline After Hours 200
For too long, Lincoln has been forgotten. Once a symbol of American luxury, the brand had devolved into a vector for rebadged Fords in recent decades. Now, with new product like the MKZ, there is hope on the horizon. On this week's show we'll talk to two of the people helping the Lincoln Motor Company navigate its way back to true luxury status. Janet Seymour is the Colors & Materials Design Manager for the brand and Susan Lampinen serves as Group Chief Designer of Color & Material Design for both Ford and Lincoln. We'll be asking them, among other things, what design trends will be most important to embrace as a luxury marque. And, while there's a lot to get into on that subject alone, we'll also be delving into some of the latest auto news. Joining Peter De Lorenzo in studio is Jim Hall, the Majordomo for Life of 2953 Analytics.

Volkswagen Tiguan Review - What Car?
Read the What Car? Volkswagen Tuguan review http://bit.ly/wFeEwR
The VW Tiguan is good to drive, thanks to responsive engines and a finely balanced chassis. It has a pleasingly smart image, too, with a classy, spacious and flexible cabin.
It's not as cheap as some Japanese rivals and the ride is too firm. Rear visibility isn't great, while off-road ability is limited.

Volkswagen Tiguan review - CarBuyer

The Tiguan looks like a 4x4 and has some off-road ability, but it's made with city roads and motorways in mind. It is designed to offer the benefits enjoyed by 4x4 owners - a high, commanding driving position, cabin space, and a feeling of safety - while being relatively compact.
