2006 Silverado 4.3 with Flowmaster 40 Series. Before and After (HD)
Just got a Flowmaster 40 put on my 06' Silverado with the 4.3 V6. Its a
single in-dual out Y-piped out to the back with 3.5" chrome tips. It was
the EXACT sound I was looking for, and I would recommend it to anyone
wanting to make their V6 sound like a V8. As usual, I swear the video
doesn't do it justice.. it sounds a lot deeper in person. I promise.
1999 GMC Sierra 4.3L Vortec Flowmaster Outlaw Install & Test Drive
Took off my gibson cat back Exhaust
system and installed the Flowmaster OUTLAW race muffler on my 1999 GMC
Sierra 1500 Stepside vortec 4.3L V6 truck. It sounds pretty nasty now.
Thanks for watching and i pologize for the swearing it was necessary. This
is the best way to get your V6 truck to sound like a V8. Turn up the bass
it sounds meaner lol!

GMC Sierra 4.3L Gibson Exhaust OVERVIEW
I own a 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd stepside truck with a 4.3L vortec V6 158k
Miles. About 6 months ago I was looking for an Exhaust system to replace the stock one on the
truck. After hours and hours on Google and YouTube searching for the best
sounding and nicest looking system for the 4.3L I came to this decision. It
was a draw between the Cherry Bomb vortex kit or the Gibson. CB always
seemed ricey to me and I liked the fact that the Gibson system had 3" pipe
all the way thru and a muffler with no packing. The 4" slash cut tips look
amazing too. Another advantage is the price. The Gibson system retails for
$450 and I got it for half that on Amazon. The deciding feature though was
the fact that it is custom built for your model of truck (no cutting or
welding required) you are prompted for cab and bed length on their website.
The Gibson kit came with detailed instructions and a sticker for the back
window. I definitely recommend this system because of the bang for your
buck. It sounds and looks great. There is no interior resonance or drone on
the highway. If your looking for somthing louder I suggest running a
Flowmaster Outlaw and dumping it under the bed. That will get you nice
sound but will not have the look of pipes out the back. It will give you a
drone in the cab though (which some people like). This is the same system
for the 4.8 and 5.3 V8's for this style of truck. I hope that this bit of
information i've displayed has helped a 4.3L Vortec owner make their
decision. I sure would have liked a video like this when I was shopping
around. Videos on the OUTLAW are coming so stay tuned. Once again I
pologize for the Wind and the balljoints if your a dodge fan. If anyone has
questions please leave a comment below and I will reply.

4.3L flowmaster 40 exhaust
I just installed the flowmaster 40 series on my 4.3L 1995 c1500 W/T.
single in, single out flowmaster 40 with new tailpipe and stainless steel
stock 4.3L. stock cat. stock everything but muffler. 2.5" into cat, 2.25"
in and out of muffler and all the way back to tip.
sorry for bad video quality and putting computer so close to the tip.
also i didn't rev it that high at all - barely tapped it, but since the
camera was so close it might sound raspy. it's just the camera.
you can't really hear it in the video but she sounds like a v8 at idle. my
85 k10 (350ci) sounds just as good swear to God.
anyway its hard to hear on the video but i'm very very happy with the
flowmaster 40 on the 4.3L vortec.
****truck now has magnaflow hi-flow cat, which isn't in this video.
