My 1970 Javelin is well optioned with power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, twin grip(posi-traction), rear spoiler, factory tinted glass with metal trim around all windows, go pack, handling package, convenience group, SST, functional ram air, restoration work was done by Scott Domine and Tim Griswold of Howell, MI. Car was painted by Todd Luzod , Hamburg, MI.
1970 AMC Javelin SST abandoned 30 years, first look.
Here is a car my brother just bought. He has been looking to speculate on old cars and look what he found....
This is a '70 AMC Javelin SST, possible Mark Donahue edition. The owners widow allegedly has a stack of paperwork to this car so we are crossing our fingers there is something to document a real Donahue car.
This is Tijuana Tan metallic, 360-4V, Safe Command power brakes and power steering.
It is very original and unmolested. The story goes is the original owners bought it, drove it until sometime in 1979 when the trans went out. The husband started to pull the trans out, but passed away suddenly.
His widow left this car and 3 others where they sat for the next 31 years. They literally had to spend a week cutting down the forest to get them out.
This Javelin wears vintage Cragar-type wheels, has the requisite add-on 8 track player also!
I will get more video and photos as we progress through clean-up and mechanical evaluation of this AMC.

Ride This SST Javelin's Wake To Your Doorstep
A coat of paint and a dash pad are all that this 1970 304 v8 SST Javelin needs to sparkle like an emerald on RTE 66. Not an AMX or Donahue version, but for $5000, a very practical and air conditioned Seventies show indeed. You do not get the cat.
