Hitting the set electronic limiter in a stock 2008 HCH. Note how the assist in the electric motor caps out once the car nears 113 mph, could that be due to the battery dropping below 3 bars? Sorry for the poor quality and the shaky hand, I didn't have the mount ready or a camera handy. Taken with an iPhone 3G camera!
2007 Honda Civic Hybrid IMA battery recal problems
My 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid experiencing 4 battery recal (re-calibration)
events in just ~12 miles of normal (actually pretty conservative) driving
conditions. Clearly the battery is heavily deteriorated and at the end of
its life cycle. It only operates "normally" at near full State of Charge.
At the end of the video I dogged on it a little bit (maybe 60-70% throttle,
not even WOT) to see how much SOC it lost in one hard acceleration. It
wouldn't even go into AutoStop or give more than 2 bars of assist after
that hard acceleration.
2007 Honda Civic Hybrid IMA Battery Problems After Software Update
Today I received the software "update" and it made my car worse than
before. The battery level recall is more predictable and happens more
often now. See for yourself. This is what I have to deal with every day
going to and from work. This is the unedited full video of my drive home.

First year of the 8th generation Civic, the Hybrid model is probably our
least favorite but still a great car, hopefully Honda brings this greatness
to the refreshed 9th generation next year.
