1981 HMV Freeway II Deluxe 450E
This vehicle may seem yellow. NOT. It's brave & valiant enough: 7800+ miles so far - with most of those miles on I494 (Minneapolis), over half during a winter in the 1980s much like recent ones there (except less snow!). Actually this "motorcycle" is VERY ""GREEN"": apx 58 to 68 MPG @ 40mph; apx 52 to 57 MPG @ 55 mph. 9-gallon tank. SUN roof! Note seat-belt, passenger seat, and left/right window pop-out setting possibilities for air-flow/cooling... Windshield wiper action about 12 seconds into video. Fully automatic transmission - no gears!
3 Wheel Car
Check this out! 72 miles to the gallon! Street legal!
The ScooterPod
This is a video I made for a friend of mine who is selling some of these scooters, probably on ebay. Although it is strange looking, it is a lot of fun to drive, gets great gas mileage and they are quite cheap.

In fact, a recent survey said only 20 percent of American drivers would consider buying an EV with a 100-mile range. But what if EVs could drive 500 miles on a single charge?
Correspondent Josh Zepps looks under the hood of a next generation battery design that uses nanotechnology to make EVs more powerful than ever.
