Chevrolet Sonic Roadtrip
In May 2011, the Chevy engineers who designed the new 2012 Sonic took the car out for an extreme real-world road test from Colorado to California. See firsthand how it feels to see a car go from a blank piece of paper to full production and then drive it from summit to sea.

2012 Chevy Sonic 2LS, First Look, O'Donnell Chevrolet Buick, San Gabriel, CA 91776
The all new Chevy Sonic, in Inferno Orange metallic, is such a great quality compact vehicle. We were impressed with its features and price tag upon our first review. The simplicity of this vehicle is hardly seen with its progressive instrument display, to include the RPM gauge and Speedometer/Driver Information Center. Its hard to believe that Chevy actually put a 6-speed transmission in this inexpensive sedan. You have to test drive it to feel its power and comfort. This is a new Chevy! Chevy Runs Deep. They've turned a corner and we really like where they're taking us. Find us online at http://www.ODchevy.com or call us at 626-285-3600 with any vehicle requests or questions. Feel free to ask for one of our dealer managers: Jason, Ken or Hugo. They are prepared to help you and answer all your questions. Thank you for viewing our video and channel.

2011 Chevrolet Sonic Z Spec Concept
General Motors seems intent on banishing all memories of the unloved Aveo -- so much so that it's gone and renamed its entry-level fighter in the States. While we're still not 100-percent in love with the name (we can't get visions of spiky-haired hedgehogs out of our heads...), all three flavors of the Sonic do appear to be vastly improved over the machine they replace, though one of them, the Z Spec, is still in the concept stage. More than anything else, they look vastly better both inside and out, but until we get a stint behind the wheel we'll hold off final judgment. According to Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet marketing, "The all-new Chevrolet Sonic blends the practicality of a small car with the passion for driving that Chevrolet vehicles like the Corvette are known for." That won't be the only time you'll ever hear someone mention the Sonic in the same sentence as the Corvette. In fact, Chevy tells us that Corvette engineers are responsible for the ride and handling of the sub-compact. The Sonic will be available in both sedan and hatchback bodystyles and with either a 1.8-liter four-cylinder mated to a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic, or a 1.4-liter turbocharged mill with 138 horsepower that's hooked to either an automatic or manual with six forward ratios. For those keeping track, these are the same engines available in the slightly larger Cruze. You'll also get a gauge cluster inspired by motorcycles, OnStar connectivity, 10 airbags and plenty more Song name: Black and Yellow instrumental

2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ Turbo
Generations have grown up trained to shop the import brands for a good subcompact car. Sonic is out to make waves in the segment and change that kind of thinking. Tom Voelk takes a look at a turbo LTZ model.

The new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic (Hatchback and Sedan)
Comes with hatchback and sedan. The Chevrolet Aveo is known as one of the least-expensive and least-liked subcompact cars you can buy. Now that Chevrolet has announced the Aveo's replacement, the little econobox will just become a bad memory. Meet the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. "The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is the small car GM has been saying it will build for decades," says Inside Line. "This time, however, the Sonic has been given a stylish look along with a generous helping of the company's latest technology. Penalty box? No, just a smaller version of the company's best sedans. At least that's how Chevrolet is pitching it." Still riding the wave of praise for the Chevrolet Cruze, an affordable small car that reviewers like for its upscale feel and comfortable cabin, Chevy is banking on the Sonic to extend the goodwill into the company's newest super-small car offering. AutoWeek reports, "The Sonic will come in two variants: a sedan that resembles a slimmed-down Cruze and a diminutive hatch. Two Ecotec engines will be available, including a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbo pushing out 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque that can be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The standard engine will be a 1.8-liter four-cylinder making 135 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque; it will be offered with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox." Autoblog says that, with the Sonic, "it's clear that The General had its sights locked on the Fiesta from the get go. The Sonic hatchback packs more back seat room than its Blue Oval competitor and, with the rear bench folded flat, delivers more cargo room, as well." While the press hasn't gotten a full look at the sonic, which debuts later today at the Detroit auto show, the early reviewers are positive. "Chevy has built a subcompact car that's appealing for reasons other than price or gas mileage," says Kicking Tires. With the Ford Fiesta already tearing up the affordable small car rankings, and an all-new 2012 Honda Civic set to bow later this year, the Sonic could have its work cut out for it. But, all the competition is only good news for small car shoppers, who suddenly have plenty of strong options to chose from. In the market for a new car? Check out the U.S. News rankings of this yea

2012 Chevrolet Sonic! More fun than Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit, and the NIssan Versa!!
We would put the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic up against anyone's small compact. With a ride engineered from the guys who brought the new Corvette, this car has some serious get up and go. It has more horsepower than the competition and one of the most enjoyable suspensions we've experienced in a car this inexpensive. The steering is light and communicates road feel extremely well, but still maintains a luxurious isolation from the road!! The Ford Fiesta can't beat the horsepower or driving dynamics. The Nissan Versa can't compete in quality of materials. The Honda Fit can't compete in standard and available equipment. Which reminds us...the Chevrolet Sonic has tons of standard equipment and options that aren't offered on the competition. Remote Start is available--again, remote start is available on an economy, efficiency car!! Gone are the days when you didn't even get power locks or a key fob. The Aveo is gone, and Chevrolet is rolling out high-tech in every vehicle. Come on into Joe Van Horn Chevrolet in Plymouth, WI. We serve Sheboygan county, Wisconsin, and all 50 states and know that the Internet is the way to shop for cars. We will work to earn your business, because we know that we have to stand out in the thousands of choices you have.
