With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to electric piano. 011

Ford Gran Torino 1972 Part 1/2 (Muscle Car HD)
Make sure to watch part 2.
Here is the blog I created for my 72: http://fordtorino72.blogspot.com
Here is my facebook Torino group:

This one is for all the Gran Torino owners and admirers out there. The slideshow is all about the 72 Sport FastBack model which is in my opinion, one of the most good looking muscle car around. I love the aggressive nose, the large muscular hips and the fastback with its rear window being almost horizontal. This car has been starring in the latest Clint Eastwood movie and the last Fast & Furious 4. Enjoy the ride, make sure you watch in HD and spread the 2 words...Gran Torino. One last thing, If any Torino owners or photographers in this video wants their pictures to be credited in the description, it will be my pleasure.
427 Talladega
This is a race prepped Torino Talladega that was raced with the 427 engine. I took this footage during the 35th aniversary of Talladega Super Speedway in 2004. I believe this is Benny Parsons race car
Here is a little bit of info for my and some general infor on Talladega.

Starsky & Hutch 1975 Ford Gran Torino
This vehicle started life as a light blue, 1975 Ford Gran Torino with a dark blue interior, bench seat, column shift, a dark blue vinyl top and those adorable opera windows (when I hear the fat lady singing I'll finally understand why they put those on cars!).
There are still some things on the interior that I hope to replace, and eventually I want to pull the motor, rebuild it, and then paint and detail the engine compartment to like-new quality.
My big dream though, is to someday convert it to rack-and-pinion steering for that late-model feel. I've heard it's been done on older Torino's but I'm not sure if it's possible to do on a '75. If anyone can point me to products or performance shops that might be able to handle such a job, please let me know!
But the best thing about this car isn't driving it (although that IS fun!). The biggest kick is the joy you bring to people's faces when they see the car. I remember one 7-year-old boy in particular who was in a car driving past me. His face lit up like he'd seen the bestest, coolest thing in the whole wide world! That look on his face and the obvious thrill he got from seeing it is what I love most about this car. Seeing that expression on his face was awesome! :-)
The car has 15" on the rear and 14" on the front.
You can still get them at AKH Wheels. If you want,
I can get you the tire sizes too, just let me know.
The stripe was hand laid using a bunch of photos from
the TV show and movie. It's the most important
element on the car so it had to be perfect! And you're
right, alot of people get it wrong! It needs that
graceful swoop to the body line, not a sharp angled turn.
The paints are as follows: The red is PPG "Viper Red",
the white is Ford "Performance White" and the black
is just PPG 9700 Ford "Black". All paints are base
with clear overcoat. Many people use Wimbledon White
for the stripe but it isn't as bright as Performance White.
It looks okay with Ford 2B Red but with a bright red like Viper,
Performance White is the only color to use.
This car is BRIGHT!
Hope this helps answer any questions.
Thanks for visiting!
