COBB Tuning Motorsports STI Reloaded
Follow the COBB Tuning Motorsports STI as it undergoes a complete rebuild at COBB Tuning Surgeline in preparation for the rest of the 2010 Redline Time Attack series. The car received a brand new roll-cage for better chassis reinforcement, an engine refresh from Cosworth along with a new Cosworth manifold, a larger turboExhaust housing and a redesigned Exhaust system to allow the car to be lowered without violating ride-height rules. Look for the COBB Tuning Motorsports STI to be back on track for Round 4 at Auto Club Speedway!
Testing of the 400th Subaru engine at Cosworth USA's Dyno in Torrance California. The engine is a 2.6L using the Cosworth 81mm billet stroker crank, big valve cylinder heads, Cosworth intake manifold and new BorgWarner EFR turbo.

This 2.6L Cosworth stroker monster is capable of spinning all the way to 9,000 at a whopping 26 psi!!! From this, you will experience a blistering 560 horsepower at the wheels! That equates to approx 740-750hp at the crank.
Beware of this one, keep your peeps peeled! This is a, "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" with stock wheels, stock suspension, stock body, all coupled with some subtle upgrades like the Seibon Carbon fiber Hood painted 2-tone.
So what are the benefits to a Cosworth long block stroker motor and the larger displacement? For one thing, the ability to rev nearly 2,000 rpms higher, setting you up for a tremendous increase in power. That is more than DOUBLE the horsepower of a stock STI, and a 450 HP increase over stock...think about that one!

Twin Turbo Ferrari Testarossa on Engine Dyno
Twin turbo Ferrari Testarossa on Engine Dyno. The motor is a 4.9L flat 12 which has been upgraded with EFI via a Bigstuff3 PRO SEFI ECM and twin Precision turboturbochargers. At this stage the motor is running 6psi Boost and has no internal modifications. We ran it from 3500rpm to 7500rpm and it produced 650hp and 600lbs*ft of torque. Enjoy!
