Chevy Nova Update 17- Painting Deck Lid and Moldings plus Fender Update
Here I paint the deck lid and the rear window moldings of the Nova. I also did the first block sanding of the fenders and another Epoxy primer coating in prep for blocking #2.

74 Chevy Nova Update 16 - Jamb painting front end parts
Heres some more jamb painting. I painted the inner fenders and the radiator support. I also started on the fenders and show the side marker delete I did to match the quarter panels.

74 Chevy Nova Update 8 - RePrime & Block #3 plus Final Prime
I reprimed and blocked the car for the 3rd time. Than Sprayed the car (the 4th time painting the car) with the Final prime. Not over yet!

74 Chevy Nova Update 14 - Jamb painting
Finally some COLOR! I show the jamb painting from masking to complete. Velocity Red Mica is the color and its Urethane Base with Clear Coat. Red Oxide Sealer was used as well to help with overage.

74 Chevy Nova Update 20 - Fender and Cowl panel Jamb painting
I block sanded the fenders three times before it was to my liking. Than I painted the jambs. I also sanded down to bare metal the cowl panel and painted it as well.

74 Chevy Nova Update 18 - Big Block 454 V8 Engine Makeover
Here I show what I have done to the Big block 454 v8 engine that was in the 74 Nova. Though I have been working on the body, behind the scenes I have been also working on this engine. Now I reveal what I have done to it. Internally I replaced the oil pump as the engine was rebuilt by previous owner.

74 Chevy Nova Update 11 - Block Sanding Doors #2 with Timelapse
Here I block sand my Door panels for the second time. When I reprimed the doors, I added extra paint to the lows so that I can block sand the doors smooth. I show this in this video with timelapse of the actual sanding process from start to finish.

74 Chevy Nova Update 1 - Some progress
Heres an update on the various things I did to the Nova.

74 Chevy Nova Update 21 - Reborn Startup Big Block 454
Here I show the engine with a short tour and then the startup. 454 V8 with open headers. And a link to the very first startup so the difference between how it was and how it is now can be seen.

74 Chevy Nova Update 9 - Bare metal Doors & Epoxy Primer
I took the Doors down to bare metal (including window channels and weatherstripping channels) than did the body work. Since I like the sport mirrors look, I bought some Camaro mirrors (There are no Reproduction Nova Sport mirrors available). These mirrors were listed for the Chevy Nova. Did the retrofitting and primed with 3 coats of Epoxy primer.

74 Chevy Nova Update 31 - Oil Can Effect - Metal Shrinking method
I show what the oil can effect is and demonstrate what I did to fix it.

74 Chevy Nova Update 22 - Body Panels and Power Brakes Installed
Installed all the panels I jamb painted and converted my manual 4 wheel drum brakes to Power 4 wheel disk brakes. Towards the end I show the gaps of the panels. The brake conversion kit used was Right Stuff Detailing. Rate and subscribe. Thank you.

74 Chevy Nova Update 96 - The Next Project
I have been asked many times the question, When? I finally get to say the answer..... NOW is the time for Nova Project "Reborn"

74 Chevy Nova Update 53 - Jamb Painting Cowl Hood Part 1
Part 1 I am finally jamb painting the Cowl hood. This is the satin black portion being performed first.

74 Chevy Nova Update 12 - Hi build primer Doors
I prepped the epoxied doors and sprayed my 2K hi build primer on both sides. Did each side on seperate days. Looking good.
