Hey guys this is a little (crammed) 10 minute tutorial on how to paint your own rims AT HOME on your own. I've already did this once to my car a year ago but I grinded on a few curbs since then so I'm repainting them this year.
YOU WILL NEED:
- Duplicolor Paint (for rims only)
- Duplicolor Prep wipe
- Masking Tape
- Lots of news papers
- Car Soap
- A Jack
- Optional: A spare
- (for me) 5 hours
The Duplicolor paint can be found at any autozone store for JUST $5 BUCKS! You can read more about it and watch their own tutorial here:

The Basics in the nutshell:
- Remove wheels
- Clean wheels hardcore
- Wipe dry with paper towel
- (optional) sun dry
- Mask off area
- Wipe with duplicolor prepwipe
- Paint color then clear
- Dry to touch in 1 hour
- Drivable in 24 hours

Headlight lens restoration using regular toothpaste is real. It doesn't take much effort, but the type or brand of toothpaste does make a difference. Watch to see the results i came up with.

Does triggering relays directly from headlight connector, harm the headlight switch?
The answer is yes. Activating relays is done by connecting voltage to a coil, which in turn creates a magnetic field. When voltage is removed from the relay, the energy that is stored in the coil collapses, and will send current the other way, by increasing voltage to several hundred volts. A small arc will be visible between the contact elements of the headlight switch. Over time, the switch will only work intermittently, and will eventually fail. That's why a serial diode is essential to protect the headlight switch.
Here's the current path to a properly connected H.I.D. retrofit electrical wiring.
The heart of most of the electrical work is at the H.I.D. relay. The relay, the most common is a Bosch type, has 5 terminals, of which 4 are of interest to you.
Terminals 84 and 85, sometimes labeled 85 and 86, is the relay coil. Remember to install an in line diode between these two terminals. Most newer relays have this diode internally. As we've said before, the diode protects the headlight switch from damage due to arching.

1. Open the hood, locate the headlight bulbs
2. Remove the stock harness plug
3. Twist the stock bulb clockwise, and remove it (do not touch the glass by hand)
4. Remove the HID bulb from the plastic shell
5. Put back the HID bulb and lock it counterclockwise (do not touch the glass by hand)
6. Connect the wires from the HID bulb to the HID ballast
7. Connect the HID ballast to the stock harness
8. Before mounting the ballast, test to make sure the HID lights up
9. If it does not light up, simply flip the wire from the HID ballast around and plug again back to the stock harness (and then test again)
10. Mount the ballast using either double sided tape or zip tie
