1985 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Walk Around
305ci Chevrolet V8 -
This car is going to see an extreme makeover once the weather improves. Fresh paint is a must and a few interior upgrades like redoing the front bench seat and maybe install a digital gauge cluster.

307ci Oldsmobile V8 - Now with all the snow gone I decided to do a better walk around of the 88' Cutlass. The car needs severe body work. Anybody with some tips for me on what I should do, would definitely be appreciated. Don't forget to subscribe.
Update On My 1985 Caprice Classic (August)
305ci Chevrolet V8 - A few minor issues with my 1985 Caprice. Just last week I blew the rear coil spring, which caused the car to sag and ride rough. Then the Exhaust got louder again on top of that. Now the car needs repairs. I have ordered brand new shock absorbers and coil springs all the way around, and as for the Exhaust, I am now considering duel Exhaust with Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers for the car.

First Start Of The 6,2 Diesel In My '81 Caprice
Have been working on this conversion for over a month now, working on it whenever I had spare time. All I'm missing now is the Exhaust and some wiring. Engine is from a 1988 Suburban, I have a video of this engine running in that car. The car had a 350 Olds diesel in it.
1985 CHEVY CAPRICE CLASSIC - YOU VOTE! YES TO RESTORE, NO TO KEEP AS IS
There is a lot to be said about older vehicles that are in original condition. They may have some rust or body damage or maybe they have mechanical problems. These older cars may have been garaged forever and be in an excellent factory condition. Whatever the case may be, these original survivor vehicles have filled an old car niche and are very much appreciated today. Now look at my 1985 Chevy Caprice four door sedan. I'm the second owner of this 91,000 mile common sedan. It has an assortment of dings and small dents. The paint is starting to craze. The headliner is disintegrating. One fender was repainted at some point and it doesn't match the rest of the car. On the other hand the interior seats and carpet are in good condition, mechanically it is sound and runs like a deer, and the original vinyl roof is like new. So this one original survivor has pros and cons. In 1985, 139,200 of these Caprice 4-door sedans were built so this is not by any means a rare or unique car. Now it's your turn to vote. Express your opinion of this Chevy. Vote YES if you think it should be thoroughly restored. Vote NO if you think I should keep this Chevy as it is.

Chevy Caprice Classic 1985
My first car was a 1985 Chevy Caprice Classic station wagon with a weak 5.0 liter, 305 cubic inch V8. Probably made like 150 hp. Had to get on slippery surfaces to get the tires to spin. Could have been a world beating rally car. Car was burned by the local fire department as a training exercise. RIP wagon :(
