Testing a 2009 Jetta with the DSG gearbox 0-60mph/ 0-100km. Pretty slow but it has an amazing gearbox and very smooth power delivery for a diesel. I took the video with my Blackberry so the quality is not great.
2009 VW Jetta TDI - DSG Service - Part I: The Filter
Part 1 of 2: 6 Speed DSG Transmission (02E) Filter replacement. Changing the filter is easy as can be, just a Filter and an O-Ring, but getting to it...some disassembly required.
I had initially tried to replace the Oil Filter without removing the Battery and Battery Tray, as some folks had done. I was not able to physically remove the Filter Housing (Filter Cap) without forcing some rigid-plastic plumbing out of the way. I was not willing to risk cracking the plumbing for the sake of extracting the Filter Housing. I don't recommend it either, so just remove the Battery and Battery Tray as the Service Manual mentions.
=== A Homemade VAS 6262-type equivalent ===
The DSG Servicing Schematic I included in the video labels the adapter dimensions as 24Mx1.5mm, it's actually M24x1.5mm. If you make your own or obtain a suitable equivalent Filling Adapter, know that the plug depth is 1/2"...just look at the Drain Plug itself.
For a ready-to-go Filling Adapter, look for P/N ATF16DSG.

Then, all you need is about $2-worth clear tubing found at any hardware store and a $5 open-close valve also found at most hardware stores.
Attach the valve to a DSG Oil bottle cap, then secure one end of the clear tubing to the other end of the valve...you are now ready to service your DSG.

1200 Miles to a tank 2005.5 Jetta TDI
It is possible to reach 1200+ miles to a tank in a 2005.5 Jetta TDI, notice with 140 miles already on the tank then computer reads 1150 miles to empty
2008 VW GLI Launch Control
A pretty lousy attempt at cleanly using the launch control feature. Car is a 2008 VW GLI with DSG. 0-60 time was about 6.7 or so, not bad for the temperature.

I take a 2010 Jetta TDI comfortline for a quick spin and talk about what makes it special. Please leave comments I would love to hear from you ( I know the screen is flashing, it doesn't actually do that in real life, but it can happen sometimes when you are video taping ) Cheers! - Sean
VW Jetta Help 06 Jetta TDI flashing problem !
Hi, I have an 06 Jetta TDI and sometimes when you put it on Park and N, it jerks and pulls forward rapidly for about 3 times and flashing occurs . Watch the video. It starts to jerk and flash when i put it on park and then the jerk stops but it still continues to flash no matter if i change it to P, R, N, D, S....Its until when I turn the car off completely and turn it back on its fine but sometimes this flashing and jerkin occurs I dont know what to do. I've been to several mechanics and they hooked the car up to scanner computers to try to find the problem and it didnt show that anything was wrong...One guy told me i need to change the transmission oil but i dont know. The car has 67 000 km almost. Any tech help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks
