Cold Start 2004 Mazda RX-8 with Short Tour, and Test Drive
A friend of mine let me make a cold start video of his 2004 Mazda RX-8. I
give a few stats in the video, but to go in a little more depth. It's a
1.3L Renesis dual rotor engine "rotary" very tiny engine putting out 238 horsepower and 159 lb
ft torque. I also give a short tour, show the engine and details, and we
take it for a drive. I get some cool shots inside, and some drive bys.
Also an Exhaust/revving clip at the
end. I know I had a lot of requests to do one of these cars. An full, in
depth review/tour will come later on. Enjoy!
motorguru.com - Mazda RX-8 Stability Control Demonstration
Racing driver Justin Bell demonstrates the handling and control of the RX-8
with and without Dynamic Stability Control engaged.

While testing the RX-8 at Gulfstream Park, motorguru.com had an opportunity
to demonstrate the RX-8 with and without Mazda's Dynamic Stability Control
engaged. This video demonstration highlights the functionality of DSC under
aggressive steering and in a tight radius turn. Then of course what racecar
driver could give up a chance to spin the tires with DSC off!
Test Drive 2007 Mazda RX-8 w/ Exhaust, and Full Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour and test drive of a 2007 Mazda
RX-8. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of
this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique
styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details
of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration with a full
test drive over various road scenarios you might encounter during daily
driving. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a
greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
Roadfly.com - 2011 Mazda RX-8 Review & Test Drive
The Mazda RX-8 is, simply put, one of the most pure sports cars currently
At just over 3,000lb., it is incredibly agile and will stack up
handling-wise with anything you can think of.
Like most 'handling-first' sports cars, its acceleration is not
devastating. It's the only passenger car to use a rotary engine, a 1.3L
wonder of smoothness and revs, delivering 232 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and
spinning all the way past 9,000!
It's a bit short on torque, with just 159 lb.-ft at 5,500 rpm. But for
those who like this kind of driving experience, that won't matter. Other
quirks are a high appetite for fuel, and Mazda's own recommendation that
you check the rotary's oil level...every time you fill up the gas tank!
It's nicely packaged, though, with real seating for four adults, suicide
doors to access the rear seats, and plenty of storage and a rear-seat
pass-through. At $33,055 as tested, it's unlike anything else on the
market. And that's worth a lot more than $33 large.
