1972 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX - PIZZAZZ CONTINUES
This year was a repeat of a popular Pontiac muscle car with that luxury touch. Equipped with the solid V8, 455 cube engine that produced 250 horses continued the tradition of Grand Prix muscle status. The luxury part comes from within - literally. The luxurious appointments found within the interior. Bucket seats, shifter on the console, options that made this car fully loaded were just a few of the details found making this a personal luxury car. Full vinyl roof crowned these GP's along with rally type mag wheels. Front to back, what you see here was another example of what Pontiac Motors use to be. Grand Prix sold well enough again this year with 91,961 units built. Suggested retail price was $4,472. Take this black beauty all in and realize what Pontiac use to dreamup. Thanks very much for viewing this ' 72 Pontiac Gran Prix.

Wow this is one Hot 65 Grand Prix.
This is one of the cleanest GP's I have seen in a long time.
This Grand Prix was owned by an exclusive GM engineer as you can see in the door jam it was signed by him. It came originally with a 389 motor now has one of Pontiac's rarest 421 HO Spec. Order YT Blocks 1 Of 29 Made, with Tri Power. This car runs like a top. The body is straight as and arrow as you can see in the pics and it shifts on the money. Interior is near perfect condition the only thing I could see wrong was the wood laminate curling up on the dash and console. It has the Pontiac 8 lug wheels even the rear speaker in the back seat works. Power antenna, A/C. Paint is impeccable, Chrome is gorgeous this is a true winner no disappointments with this bad boy.

The original Pontiac Grand Prix was all about luxury. It was designed as America's answer to European luxury sedans. It was a simple and successful formula, just add the luxury of European cars to a healthy dose of performance and out comes a fun car that proved exceptionally popular. This 1967 Pontiac is one of the best Grand Prix Convertibles that Vanguard Motor Sales has ever had in our showroom.
Its bodywork displays no signs of major repairs, and is absolutely solid and rust free. If you check out the photos closely, you can sight down the cars flanks and see that there are no ripples in the sheet-metal and panel alignment is spot-on. The yellow paint does have a few small touch-ups, but is fabulous overall. The chrome and trim is beautiful as well.
At the front of this Grand Prix you will find fully functional headlight doors inside of the split grille. The large hood features a tachometer, and sits in front of a windshield that is bordered by nice stainless trim. The excellent looking black power top works without any trouble and the boot fits like a glove. At the back of the car, stylized "Grand Prix" emblems are located just in front of the rear tires. Another beautiful chrome bumper sits below the tail lights.
Pop this cars hood and you'll find the strong running 400 cubic inch Pontiac motor. The engine compartment is clean and includes a Duralast Gold battery. As a cruiser that prioritizes luxury over all out performance, this is a car that was designed to eat up vast stretches of interstate while providing supreme comfort. Behind the engine you'll find a 400 automatic transmission. The power steering and power brakes give this Pontiac a good feel. The undercarriage looks exceptionally solid given the age and authenticity of the car. At the corners this Grand Prix wears great looking 8 Lug Pontiac wheels.
Inside this Pontiac, high style is the name of the game. The interior is in spectacular condition with black vinyl bucket seats and a wood grain console with a floor shifter. The clean wood grain dash houses great looking factory gauges. At the center of the dash the inoperable AM/FM radio sits below the functional dash light. Both the horn and the power antenna work. Out back, the trunk includes a covered full-size spare tire.
GTOs are nice and Trans Ams are fun, but when was the last time you saw a Pontiac that is as nice as this 1967 Grand Prix? With the luxury and the style and grunt of an American muscle car, this is one old Pontiac that has personality by the buckets. And thanks the comfortable interior and smooth drivetrain, you'll NEVER experience a dull moment on the road or at the show fields. Call us today! 248-974-9513
