Dodge 3.9L / 4.4L V-6 Dyno test
This is a Dodge V-6 based on the 3.9 l engine but is 4.4L or 270 cubes It
has W-2 cylinder heads, solid lifter Reed cam designed on a round lobe 8860
roller cam core. The intake is a Mopar W-2 M-1. I built the headers per
Headers by Ed specs. The carb is a 700 cfm Holley DP.
The whine you hear before the engine starts is the electric engine pre-lube
oil pump I built into the Dyno stand. The test engine has
no power to the starter or ignition until it has oil pressure. The electric
oil pump takes suction from the engine oil pan plug and routes the pre-lube
oil through the remote filter also built onto the Dyno stand.

'93 Dodge Dakota 3.9L - 1/4mi
My first ever run with the Dakota 3.9L down the drag strip. I had
extremely bad wheel hop and spin 1st, 2nd , and 3rd gear. Truck has a built
naturally aspirated 3.9L V6 5-speed manual and a detroit locker. More mods
than I care to fully list here.best time of the day was a 15.677 (this run
is a 15.8) Its definitely faster
than that but I have never ran down the strip before this so I did kinda
crappy and desperately need traction bars!!

1994 Dodge Dakota Build
This is a little video dedicated to my 1994 Dodge Dakota that I picked up
for $500. She was in rough shape, but now she's doing great!!!
Dodge Dakota Coolant Leak Repair - Including Bypass Hose, Thermostat, Water Pump, etc.
To get to what turned out to be a Thermostat leak we had to remove the
The Serpentine belt, the fan, the Air Conditioning Compressor, the
Alternator and the A/C and Alternator Bracket.
This way you can easily access the bypass hose, the thermostat housing, and
the upper heater hose (or otherwise called the heater to engine hose).
This also gives you free access to the water pump if you were going to
replace it. This is actually the easiest way to access the water pump as
opposed to the way the service manual describes removing it (without
removing the A/C and Alternator bracket).
However, after doing the job we discovered a second leak on the lower
heater hose (or the heater to water pump return hose). Which also needed
to be corrected.
