A 390 with our "Prison Break 445" stroker kit, Stage X Edelbrock heads, a Victor intake and an 850 carb. Cam is a 236@.050 hydraulic roller with .598 lift, and runs were made on 93 octane unleaded.

Ford 427 SOHC Cammer on dyno - 614 horsepower at 6500RPM
Original S.O.H.C. Cammer, built by Survival Motorsports, on the engine Dyno. This was with a 428 crank, Lemans rods, unported iron heads, a factory dual plane 2x4 intake and car, and LSM reproduction stock cams. Compression was dropped to 10.8:1 for pump gas, but tests were run with turbo Blue 110 for safety's sake. Sorry about the video quality
Peak power was 614 at 6500RPM, peak torque was 554 at 5200RPM.

790 horsepower 505 cube 427 FE Ford on Dyno
This is a Survival Motorsports built 505 inch FE race engine on the Dyno. It made just under 800 horsepower! Compression is 12.2:1, running Blue Thunder heads and a Victor intake with a single Dominator. Survival stroker 4.250 crank and Scat H beam rods.
Sorry about the water on the floor and steam - we were testing during a friggin' monsoon and the rainwater started pouring in through the Dyno room fan opening - sideways! Did not seem to hurt anything - but it never done that before...

Ford 390 FE dyno run - stroked to 445 cubes - 521 horsepower
This is a Survival Motorsports built 445 FE, based on a Ford 390 engine. Compression is 9.8:1 and it is running on pump premium. Heads and intake are modified Edelbrock parts. Cam is a custom hydraulic roller for great power and no break-in worries. Carb is a Holley 750 double pumper. Oil pan on this one is a special Canton dual sump "T" type for rack & pinion conversions on earlier Mustangs - pretty trick.
Engine made 521 horsepower at 5800 RPM, revving freely past 6000. Torque was really strong and flat curve - over 530 from 4000RPM all the way through 5000RPM.

Me and my dad built this engine, but mostly me, it has stock bore, just honed, stock crank, just polished, new rings, new gaskets, new bearings new oil pump, stock flattop pistons with new wrist pins, new 390 cam, new lifters, new seals, new water pump, new fuel pump, edelbrock performer 390 intake, edelbrock 750 cfm manual choke carb, hardened valve seats, new keepers, new clutch and pres. plate, new starter, clark 265 5 speed transmission, MSD ready to run Distributor, MSD plug wires that need to be shortened, Autolite plugs, MSD Blaster coil.
The engine had low miles on it when I rebuilt it but it had been sitting awhile. Originally was in a 1966 Ford Galaxy with a automatic. I took a 330 M/D out of a 66 Ford B700 School bus and took the bellhousing, flywheel, and trans for my engine. It was going to go in my 1947 Ford truck, but then I got a 43 Ford truck with a good running flathead 6 in it and decided to just keep the flathead. Don't quite yet know what to do with this engine yet.

427 SOHC Ford FE on the Dyno. Made 870 horsepower at 7000 RPM and 722 TQ! Absolute top line components throughout - as nice as a Cammer gets.
That's 1.65 HP per cubic inch and 1.37 TQ per cube from a vintage style package.
Billet 4.375 stroke steel crankshaft. Billet 6.700 Oliver rods. Iron 4.375 bore Genesis block. Highly modified Coon Cammer heads with raised ports that flow 456 cfm. Highly modified Dove single plane intake with sideways mounted Quick Fuel 850 carbs. Billet .705 lift cams. Prototype T&D roocker system. Compression is 11.5:1 with custom Diamond pistons, skirt coating and an .043-.043-3.0mm ring package. Crank trigger ignition with custom "T" handle MSD wires. Billet rail Moroso mid-sump oil pan. Meziere water pump.
