GM Power Steering Recall Demonstration
GM says it is recalling 1.3 million 2005 to 2010 Chevrolet Cobalts, the 2007 to 2010 Pontiac G5s, 2005 and 2006 Pontiac Pursuits sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico to fix power steering motors. This has been repaired by the dealership that sold me this car as it occurred within a month of me owning it; that said it hasn't happened since, but even the mechanic stated it will most likely happen again. (Video Shot by Cellphone in October, 2009)

What's the difference between $30000 and a piece of crap?
What's the difference between $20,000, $10,000 in repairs, and a steaming pile of crap? ........ Nothing if you own a Land Rover. s on Friday the 20th of July 2007. I paid them $1800 and seconds later nearly drove "the steamer" into a car or two when I left the lot. They must have put the break-system together incorrectly, since I had nearly no brakes. I turned it around and took it back to the Service Manager and said, as simply as I know how, "Can someone explain this to me? no brakes?". He said, "let me check and went to pop-open the hood, but the it wouldn't open. The once "loose" hood latch was now broken. They didn't feel the need or have the self-respect to tell me that fact. After the ace-team looked over "the steamer" and were ready to let loose there best mechanic-speak I interrupted and said "It's simple. It needs a new hood latch, and the brakes fixed. I'm not paying for it since I brought it in here for electrical problems, and you tacked on the 'leaky master cylinder' (and a new battery) and gave me back a vehicle unsafe to drive. I agreed to pay parts and them labor, and gave them a 10 days to fix it since I was going to Cisco Networkers Live in Anaheim. Read on it get worse. They called to say the vehicle is ready, and "good news it's only $47 to fix. Turns out the power-assist brake unit was not really needed, just a new rubber diaphragm behind the master cylinder." Today, July 31st 2007, I arrived to pick it up. And I think you can see why I wanted to test drive it. Even asked the Service Manager to come along. He declined ("shoot", I thought, "no brakes again.") Before I left the lot onto the busy Texas access road all the lights and whistles went off on the dash board again. Remember that the owner's manual said that particular sequence of lights means "you've been had by Land Rover and we don't care." And also can mean, "Give me your money and get out of here." I once again turned it around (after taking little video evidence) and asked to speak to the service manager. The coward refused to see me and spoke through the polite service desk girl who said "what ever is causing the electrical short you brought it in here for is still causing the problem. We don't know when we can fix it." I said "I'm not paying for anything else. And at this time I feel you have done unnecessary work, and I have been over-charged." She said, "I will have the coward call you."

Chevy Cobalt Start-up

Dude,What's Wrong With My Car?!!
Mr. Entertainer Productions need your help!!! Mr. Entertainer's car,a '95 Pontiac Sunfire, has this weird and intermittent ignition problem!First, the battery was blamed, then a recall from 2000 came up on the auto repair place's computer. Then, it went to a dealership to have a "thermal event relay kit" installed for free. Two months later, THE SAME DARNED PROBLEM!!! Since then, it had been to one more place and the car innocently starts successfully for all mechanics who tried to find the problem! For more info, just watch the video! UPDATE: THE PROBLEM WITH MR. ENTERTAINER'S CAR HAS BEEN FINALLY FOUND AND REPAIRED! IT TURNED OUT TO BE A PART THAT WAS INSTALLED WRONG ON THE OLD STARTER THAT WAS REPLACED LATE IN JUNE 2010 AND NOW THE CAR HAS BEEN STARTING FLAWLESSLY EVERY TIME! MR. ENTERTAINER PRODUCTIONS WOULD LIKE TO THANK THOSE WHO LEFT COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PROBLEM FOR A FEW YEARS! THIS VIDEO IS KEPT UP FOR "ARCHIVAL PURPOSES" ONLY NOW. Music:"Ode To My Car" by Adam Sandler (With all naughty words painstakingly removed!) THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!! :-)

Chevy Cobalt Electrical/Power Steering/Transmission Problem
Video of my 2006 Chevy Cobalt acting up like usual. Just had power steering motor replaced 1wk 2 days ago. You'll see all the lights on dashboard that are flashing, bells dinging for power steering, gauges flucuating, and video is very bumpy due to no power steering. Feels like it's locked up?! Also ticking/clicking noise comes from shifter and when video jumps it's due to car jumping bc transmission is slipping. I've been to several different dealerships and no one has a clue what's wrong. I am looking for any and all help anyone may have to offer. I am a 6 month pregnant wife and this car is all I have and it's terrifying to drive. Please anyone give me help. Or help us tell GM to own up bc I'm not the only one to have this problem. Thousands do! Thanks for any suggestions.

Chevy Cobalt Power Steering Recall
***WE DID IT!!! GM ANNOUNCED A RECALL ON MARCH 1, 2010!!! Read More here: http://www.click2houston.com/automotive/22710854/detail.html#story *** My 2005 Chevy Cobalt's power steering went out around the 45,000 mark. I found hundreds of other Cobalt drivers that have had the same problem and had to pay $900-$2500 to repair their car. GM is aware of this problem but has chosen to do nothing about it. The only thing we can do is get everyone out there to call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and let them know of this issue in hopes of a future recall. Thanks for watching! It only takes five minutes, so please call in! National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 888-327-4236 http://www.SaferCar.gov

Chevy Cobalt Fuel Filter replacement (installation)
This video will show you how to replace the fuel filter on a Chevrolet Cobalt. I noticed that there are great write ups and some pictures on how to do it but no one (that im aware of) has made a video. This is my first YouTube video so I hope its easy to understand and helpful for everyone.

2009 Chevy Cobalt BUG
Dave shows you a potentially deadly electronics bug in this 2009 Chevy Cobalt he rented from a national rental car company. Did it come off the assembly line like this or did a service technician screw it up? Good thing Dave was letting air out instead of putting it in because this bug could cause you to explode a tire. Or you could simply drive with incorrect tire pressures and have a crash. Bottom line: if you buy this car, invest in a reliable tire pressure gauge and go by that, not the Cobalt's electronics!

Chevrolet Cobalt Headlight Removal How-to
Decided to make a video to show how to remove the headlights on a Cobalt, since many people have problems trying to do this, especially for first timers. EDIT: Since a few people have commented that I don't describe how to change the actual bulb, I'll add it here. Once the headlight is out, disconnect the big blue plug that's plugged into the back of the bulb. Twist the big black ring thing counter clockwise until it becomes free. Remove it and the bulb will be free for removal. Install new bulb and installation is reverse of removal.

14.6 2.2L Chevy Cobalt + Nitrous EXPLOSION!
March 4th, 2007...14.6 @95mph run in a 2.2L Cobalt, then on the 3rd run of the day, a faulty window switch lead to a fuel puddling issue which caused a Nitrous backfire and ended the race day for me.
