An ac compressor should be removed one step at a time. When removing your ac compressor you should remove the clutch wire and hose assemblies. Remove the ac compressor manifold bolts. Be careful not to get any dirt or debris in the hoses.
AC Drier and Orifice Tube
When you remove the ac drier and orifice tube you want to be very careful not to get any debris inside any of the hoses. Always use a backup wrench when removing any of the lines. Check for any excess metal shavings. Excess metal shavings are an indication that the entire ac system needs to be flushed.
AC Compressor Oil
When adding ac compressor oil you should empty all of the oil used in shipping first. The correct amount of ac compressor oil to be added is usually stamped on the compressor. The manufacturer recommends a specific amount of oil for an ac compressor.
Evacuating the AC System
Evacuating the ac system should be done with both of the couplers installed and both of the valves completely open. The low side gauge should start to draw a vacuum. You should leave the vacuum on for 30 minutes to an hour. After you pull the vacuum on the system it's ready to be recharged.

Flush your ac system before installing a new ac compressor. Metal shavings or other debris from the defective compressor will contaminate the ac system. Shoot the fluid in one side of the compressor hose fittings to flush the system. Using shop air, push the fluid through the entire system and out the other port.

Air conditioning compressor installation is properly done after the system has been flushed. First put the hose manifold back on. Bolt the compressor to the mounts. Cycle the ac compressor by spinning the clutch plate several times. Install the compressor clutch wire, and install the serpentine belt.

i think i know what is wrong with it i just cant get the clutch off and i found a drawn up tool but i cant find one any where would i have to make it myself? Or is there another way to keep the clutch from moving to get the retaining bolt out.
