2L Turbocharged Zetec on the Dyno
This is a 2 litre turbo Zetec I built many years ago. The rough starting was due to it a) being a brand new calibration and b) the starter motor was causing some electrical noise resulting in the ECU re-setting itself randomly on crank. It made just over 300bhp on the Dyno before a small crack was discovered around one of the spark plugs in the head. This didn't affect the running of the engine at all but the mapping wasn't able to be 100% completed. Even though, this engine produced over 300 ft-lb of torque from 2700-6000rpm. The engine was stripped down and checked, all OK and a brand new head installed. No longer required for the project, this engine was sold on.

SVT Contour clutch noise
Initially I'm in first gear, slowly letting out the clutch with the e-brake engaged. The odd clutch noise is audible. After that you can see the effects of my bad IAC valve - the revs barely go down at all when disengaging the clutch.

Almost finished , made good progress, now i can use it constantly at any road speed as normal, careful setting of the Propane regulator pressure is fiddly but essential, gas goes into inlet plenum now, it seems to need 3-4 Bar roughly, as you see it revs quite freely & swaps back to petrol simply. I have siliconed the valve to lock it in position as once set it's quite firm-solid. They charge a loads £ to provide & fit a proper LPG kit so I though it worth some ingenuity. Always be careful to avoid leaks use good connections though propane has a smelly marker added as Naturally it's odour free., routing the gas pipe under the floor-pan is preferable & remove wheel well grommits for boot/trunk ventilation..
