After 10 years and nearly 167K miles, the original Exhaust has finally worn out, thanks to the many MI winters its been thru. So far no complaints from the neighbors, but man this Max sure is LOUD!!

1998 Nissan Maxima SE noise
Noticing lately that my Max makes a tapping noise when driving at parking lot or subdivision speeds. Not sure what it is or where its coming from but at 20 seconds its definitely noticeable. Any ideas what it could be?
1998 Nissan Maxima with nasty sounding rattle
EDIT: I still don't know exactly what the problem was but the end result was I had a local shop install a newer used engine (VQ30DE) which wasn't too expensive to have done. Good luck to anyone else having a similar issue!
Other than this rattle my car has been in fine working order. I have done all of the preventative maintenance. It has 180,000 miles and started making this rattle sound only a few minutes after I drove over a small flat object with my tire. My car has a timing chain that uses a tensioner to keep it from having too much slack but those tensioners can fail from time to time. Before just replacing parts here and there I would like to have some other people's perspectives on what may be causing this noise. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also, it spit out two codes:
0608 - Cylinder No. 1 misfires (many possible causes listed but I wouldn't be surprised if one of my injectors went bad as 1 or more of them have been making more and more noise over time).
0304 - Knock Sensor; an excessively low or high voltage from knock sensor is entered to ECM; possible causes include short in Harness or Connectors or a bad Knock Sensor.
Possible causes I can think of:
-Rod knock
-Bad rod bearing
-Foreign object in valve train
-Bad timing chain tensioner
-Bad sensor which could be the camshaft position sensor, the crankshaft position sensor, the knock sensor, or an oxygen sensor.
-Bad fuel injector
95 Maxima Flowmaster
Got a new muffler its not that loud but its got a nice tone to it. Oh yea its a flowmaster 40. hopefully gonna get a cherrybomb glasspack to replace the resonator but not sure yet

1999 Nissan Maxima SE idle problem
After the engine warms up, the car's computer lowers the rev's. When this happens, the car starts to "bounce" around 600rpm. It causes vibration and could become a big problem in the future. If anyone can help me diagnose my car, I will be very much obliged. Also, there is no check engine light on, so I can't diagnose that way.
98 Nissan maxima A32 exhaust test
Hey whats up guys, some people on the forums were asking me to upload a sound clip.. My maxima currently has a y-pipe, stock catalytic converter, 2.5 all the way after catalytic.. It sounds pitchy cause my catalytic is leaking from front and rear.. Thank you and God Bless :)
