Replacing the turn signal switch on my 97 monte carlo. Very common problem with montes and luminas. Symptoms, third brake light works up in the back window while main tail lights brakes lights do not. Sometimes left brake light would come on with right turn signal turned on. Running lights works fine. The power for the brakes lights goes from the brake pedal switch to the blinker switch then to the tail lights. For some reason the switch wears out and needs to be replaced.

How to start a smart fortwo that's stuck in park (ABS light on)
IMPORTANT: When you're jiggling your screwdriver or other metal implement, you (obviously?) have to also be pulling on your shifter. I forgot to mention this on the video. If you have a question leave a comment.
I pulled myself out of park at least a dozen times before I was able to get to a dealer.

Another update: this problem went away by itself when the weather warmed up to -10*C. Protip: Smartcars aren't great in -30*C!

I never would have believed that this one video has saved so much headache and money from it's viewers in trouble. I have received calls all over asking for additional help. The issue is pretty straightforward and there is not much I can say but to be careful and move slow. Take pictures each step of the way so you can figure out how to put things back together if you need.
I could not believe some of the most amazing stories I heard about the Lose or broken Console Shifters Handle in the Lincoln Navigator and then I starting hearing about other Lincoln's with the same or similar issues like the Aviator.
I made this video to help the DIY'er that does not want to spend $800-$1,200 in repairs and can fix it for almost free.
There are no posts on repairing this so I made this do you could get this done yourself and save a ton of money.

2013 Mustang gt 5.0 MT82 transmission problem shifting into 2nd under load
this seems to be a well know problem and so far i have upgraded to a MGW shifter kit and it helped a little, but after a couple runs at the track the 2nd just doesn't go in at all. Im assuming after the pressure plate heats up or the clutch fluid heats up.
I ordered a braider clutch line and I'm going to put that in and see if things improve, maybe insulating the clutch fluid reservoir would also help, but it is likely the pressure plate getting heated up after a couple of runs and getting weak and not allowing full disengagement. The clutch pedal sinks closer to the floor and then improves as the fluid cools down.
Ford really needs to step it up and improve the clutch/gear issues on these 5.0 Mustangs, its really embarrassing us ford owners!
