Concept One - Croatian Electric Sports Car
A young Croatian inventor and winner of the Vidi e-novation Award, Mate Rimac and the Rimac automobile company have created an electric sports car which had its premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car speeds up in 2.8 seconds from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour. Top speed is limited to 305 kilometers per hour and in a moderate drive, the maximum range is 600 kilometers.

Le monde de l'automobile connaît parfois de grosses surprises. Qui connaissait l'existence de Rimac il y a deux mois ? Cet obscur constructeur croate présente pourtant à Francfort un concept car de folie sensé battre tous les records avec ses 1088 chevaux. Excusez du peu...
Rimac lève enfin le voile sur les lignes de son concept après de longues semaines d'attente. Et ça valait le coup. Si l'aspect est classique sur ce genre de concept, regardons les détails... Les magnifiques optiques étirés et la calandre très fine... L'arrière qui casse magnifiquement la ligne de toit... Avec sa faible hauteur on a presque la sensation de contempler une formule 1.... Les lignes sont en tout cas abouties et suscite instantanément le désir.
L'habitacle est du même acabit... Avec ses couleurs rouge et crème, il est sublime. Comme toujours dans ce genre de voiture, on retrouve les sièges enveloppants très confortables. La console centrale est aussi magnifique avec ses commandes à portée de main. Et l'écran qui le surplombe, comme celui logé derrière le volant apportent tous les deux une petite touche futuriste à cet habitacle qui est plus proche du travail d'artisan que de la production en grande série.
La fiche technique de la Rimac Concept donne le tournis... 1088 chevaux... 2 secondes 8 pour le 0 à 100... Une vitesse max de 305 km/h... Tout cela en électrique... Pour une autonomie de 600 km ! Et du côté du constructeur, on est plutôt confiant puisqu'on annonce la production de 88 exemplaires pour une livraison prévue en 2013. Et un tarif qui risque d'être de plusieurs centaines de milliers d'euros. Alors, coup de génie ou coup de pub ?
