Toyota Tacoma Intake & Exhaust Mods
Some video clips I took of my Toyota Tacoma Double Cab at various stages of modifications. Please keep in mind that these are pretty much for audio comparison purposes only. My shots are shaky and not high quality, just shot with a small point n shoot digital camera. First mod - K&N 57 Series High Flow Performance Cold Air Intake Kit. Second mod - Magnaflow Stainless Steel Performance Cat-Back Exhaust Kit. Three different shots were taken. First shot - inside cab, going from 0-60. (note-these were just done for relative comparisons and not done scientifically exact) Second shot - under the hood. Third shot - back near the Exhaust. Word of caution if you are considering these mods - at 4,000+ RPM the Intake is extremely loud and high pitched - almost painfully loud. And yes, it's true what they say - your lead foot will get heavier after these mods, thus offsetting any mileage savings you may have gained. If you can keep your foot from stompin on the gas, you should see some mileage improvements.
