I'm sorry, but I just can't recommend this thing. You're going to pay four times the amount of a regular air filter but another 12.99 for the cleaning kit that you have to replace anyway every so often. Plus it takes you all this time to spray it down with the kit, rinse, WAIT WAIT for it to dry and then spray it down again with the oil kit before you FINALLY put it back in your car.
I'd rather just buy the cheap air filter, drop it in and be done with it in 5 minutes worth of work. Am I crazy?

What you are seeing and hearing is purely the result of an Injen intake in conjunction with a stock engine (VQ35HR) and muffler. How to Install a Short Ram Intake for 96-00 Civic HX/EX/SI
This is a step by step installation instruction video for a short ram intake on a 96-00 Honda Civic HX/EX/SI. The car used in the video is a 2000 Honda Civic HX (D16Y5) and models may vary slightly. The intake being installed is an AEM short ram intake with a dryflow filter.
There are captions in the video to help with the instructions, and I have some background music to make it a little more interesting. I hope this helps all of you people out there who need a detailed step by step in video format. I ran into one issue and explained my solution during the install, probably a common issue with intake replacements in these model Civics.
If you have questions or comments, please leave below, I will try to answer any questions that I can. I think this video is very thorough and any amateur modder should be able to install their intake without any issues.
I am not sure where all of the bolts are to remove the stock resonator, just in case that question gets asked. This intake fit without needing the removal of the resonator, and I'm sure you could google and find a forum where someone had this question answered.
The pcv breather/vacuum hose I purchased is a 3/8" vacuum hose, $2.29 per foot = cheap, in case your intake did not come with a new hose.
