1968 HEMI Dart Super Stock - Real Car
Real Super Stock 1968 Dodge Dart with 426 Race Hemi and open headers. Heading up to get the Tom Karay Memorial Award at the 23rd Annual Muscle Car Classic Car Show 8/02/09. This car was absolutely perfect in every detail. A true pleasure to view and hear. Copyright 2009 minnesota-muscle.com
1968 Hemi Dart
In 1968 you could walk into a Dodge dealership and if you knew who to talk to, you could buy essentially the same car. 500hp right off the assemblyline. A completely done dragcar that could be taken to the dragstrip the second it was delivered and win.
The best musclecar ever made? No.
The baddest? Probably.

1968 Dodge Dart STK # 1192
Looking for a stunning A Body Mopar, look no further. Drenching in black paint this 1968 Dodge Dart is a tough car. Under the massive hood scoop is a 2006 Mopar Performance 360 crate motor with a Holley 800 double-pumper and a Chrysler electronic ignition for reliability. 3" ceramic coated headers send the spent fuel down the 3" stainless steel Exhaust. Putting the power to the rear wheels is a A727 Torqueflite 3 speed automatic transmission with a manual valve body and reverse lockout and out to the wheels via a 8.75inch posi rear end with a 3.91:1 rear gear. New OEM front disc brakes bring this power to a stop. Inside is a newer interior with door panels, headliner, buckets seats, and chrome accents. A JVC AM/FM/CD radio with speakers so that you can hear tunes. Rolling Dart 15" Ralley wheels. This Dart is exceptional and a must see. Mr. Norm Interview, Pt. 2 - The New GSS HEMI Dart!
Yes, it LOOKS like a '68 Dart. But that's where the similarity ends. Hemi engine, 4-wheel disc brakes, modern suspension and transmission, chrome rims on low-profile PZero tires and just about any performance and comfort option you could want.
The car shown here, owned by previous ShowYourAutoTV interview subject Bill Sefton, is one of 40 being made, after which production ends for good. To reserve one of the 40, contact Mr Norm at his website or Patrick Krook at 847-838-3749.

Jerry's Hemi Dart Part 1
My friend Jerry's Hemi Dart at the local cruise in Sunday, July 31, 2011. Sorry for the jumpy video. First day with the new camera.
Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge
Everything changes; that includes the '60's and very early 70's muscle-car era during which Norman Kraus, aka "Mr. Norm", rocketed to fame on the basis of his car dealer, Grand Spaulding Dodge, which was the first to put a 383, 440 and 426 Hemi V-8's into the boxy Dodge Dart and created a performance legend in the process.
Yes, he's still alive; yes, he's still designing cars. If you saw his 600 hp Super Challenger at the L.A. or Chicago Auto Shows or at this year's SEMA show, you know he's still got the touch.
