Top Gear testing Porsche 959 and the new Porsche Turbo
The Porsche NIGR 959 is a sports car manufactured by Porsche from 1986 to 1989, first as a Group B rally car and later as a legal production car designed to satisfy FIA homologation regulations requiring that a minimum number of 200 street legal units be built.
During 1986, it held the title as the world's fastest street-legal production car[citation needed]. As its production run, it was hailed as being the most technologically advanced road-going sports car ever built and the harbinger of the future of sports cars: it was one of the first high-performance vehicles to use an all-wheel drive system; it provided the basis for Porsche's first all-wheel drive Carrera 4 model; and it convinced Porsche executives of the system's viability so well that they chose to make all-wheel drive standard on all versions of the 911 turbo starting with the 993 variant. In 2004, Sports Car International named this car number one on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1980s.

Let's not forget that this is a convertible! The power hard top goes up and down with ease. To help you see where you're going, the XLR-V is outfitted with HID head lamps with washers and Twilight Sentinel. An additional safety feature are the fog lamps. The aggressive and stunning look of the car is emphasized by the 19" wheels with accompanying tires in good condition! These wheels along with the performance tuned suspension help to improve the already outstanding handling so much that you will be begging for curves. This is truly one fine looking car. INTERIOR: When you enter the cabin of this automobile, you'll immediately understand why the XLR-V is one of the nicest American sport convertibles. The EBONY leather bucket seats are in great condition as are the matching mats and carpet. The seats feature eight way adjustment so that you will be completely stable and comfortable. The leather also carries over to the tilt steering wheel which has controls for the Driver Information Center and cruise control. Helping you stay comfortable on chilly days, you'll love the dual heated seats to keep you toasty. The navigation system is spectacular and will assist you in reaching your destinations easily and quickly. This unit also controls the Bose premium sound system which includes AM/FM stereo, six disc CD changer, and nine speakers. With the keyless ignition system, you can leave your key in your pocket and still start the car. The vehicle will detect the key and with just the push of a button the engine will roar to life. Thanks to the rear park assist system, you will have audible alerts to what is behind you to help you avoid needlessly backing into things that may be just outside of your normal view. The Head Up display will certainly come in handy. You wont have to take your eyes off the road to keep tabs on how fast you're driving. A convenient read-out will reflect right onto the windshield so you'll always be in the know. What awesome features!
