2010 Ford Taurus SEL Start Up, Quick Tour, & Rev With Exhaust View - 19K
2010 Ford Taurus SEL
This Taurus has Ford's familiar 3.5L DOHC V6 which makes 263 HP while
paired to a 6 Speed auto.
It's a great car overall. Massive car that can do 28 MPG & comfortable
interior. The high rear deck is an annoyance one must learn to get used
to. Design of the rear cup holders on the armrest is stupidly designed &
must change pronto. A few touches here & there in the interior also
could've been of better quality but it's a decent cabin overall. I do
hope Ford is working on the rear end for 2014-2015 as this rear look a tad
bulky, tall, & quite bland as oppose to the front end which looks quite
Since 2008, the Taurus has proven very reliable & I've seen many 2008
models ( Same Engine / Gearbox ) with over 150K still in perfect condition.
Hmmm, maybe I'll do one of those & hopefully an SHO soon lol.

2013 Ford Taurus Technology
Ford has unveiled the facelifted Taurus at the New York Auto Show.
Benchmarked against the Audi A6, the updated model features a new hood, a
modified grille, restyled headlights, and LED taillights. Likewise, the SHO
is distinguished by a black mesh grille, HID headlights, a rear spoiler and
exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin has been outfitted with higher quality materials,
additional soft-touch plastics, and new switchgear. If that isn't
impressive enough, options include a heated steering wheel, massaging front
seats, keyless ignition and MyFord Touch.
Under the hood, the entry-level model is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that
produces 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) and 255 lb-ft (345 Nm) of torque. If
you're more concerned about fuel efficiency, there's also a new 2.0-liter
EcoBoost four-cylinder with 237 hp
(177 kW / 240 PS) and 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) of torque. It is expected to
deliver at least 31 mpg highway. Lastly, the Taurus SHO has a 3.5-liter
EcoBoost V6 that develops 365 hp
(272 kW / 370 PS) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque.

If the big American car is so evil, why is it that everybody is going to so
much trouble to make them?
If you're just driving to the grocery store, you won't get what the 2010
Ford Taurus Limited is about. It's almost too big to fit into the new breed
of narrow parking spaces they've got down there. You'll just have to park
in the far corner of the big lot at Meijer and hope they send a tram to
shuttle you to the door.
Instead you've got to lift your horizons and drive across the country on a
summer vacation, maybe see those 40-foot statues of Paul Bunyan and eat
that bad barbecue. It turns out that American cars really invented all this
high-speed stuff that European brands associate with autoroutes,
autostradas and motorways. You want a nice long wheelbase, some weight to
suppress ride motions and a useful amount of lead at the tip of the arrow.
No surprise then that the Ford Taurus is utterly unflustered by highway
travel. What is a surprise is how well it does the job, as its tires
practically dance over seams in the pavement. Nothing else that pretends to
be an affordable American sedan can match this car on the open road.

2010 Ford Taurus. Having become the epitome of boring, the Ford Taurus
lackluster design and plastic-filled interior left something to be desired,
but the new Taurus is anything but. A gorgeous interior, sporty handling,
an aggressive exterior design and an exciting and sportier SHO trim should
be more than enough to revitalize the Ford Taurus' image while garnering
some much-needed interest from families everywhere.
