Ford Ranger Needs Help
UPDATE: The Ranger is fixed. Apparently the mechanic who installed the timing belt did not correctly adjust the crank shaft position sensor. It's all fixed now and runs like a champ. Thanks all for your ideas.
1992 Ford Ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder, manual. It threw the timing belt. Replaced it and the crank shaft censor but the thing stalls out and dies. It will start right back up and idle like a champ. I replaced the ICM, Relays, Coil packs, and it still dies. The fuel pump is good with good fuel pressure. The mechanic told me it wasn't a timing issue because there is no distributor to set the timing.
Any answers or tricks or pointers would be great.

1. the new strip
2. plastic body putty spatula
3. rubber mallet
4. about 2 minutes of time
My 318ti uses part number 51218198053 (left door) and 51218198054 (right door). Check at realoem.com to verify yours uses the same part. My purchased mine at GetBMWparts.com for $27.42 each plus shipping.

Bigger tires (275ZR40-17) still leave something to be desired when gouging on it from a freeway on-ramp, even with a power-sucking C6 tranny. Time to go with some 315 or 335 series drag tires before swapping in the 4.10 rear.
