my turbo 5.3 trying to push through the
long 4l80e 1st gear using a stock converter.
3000 RPM stall installed. Problem at 5,500rpm, but you see the improvement.

this video has info on how to fix a severe valve tap or sticky lifter using
1 quart of automatic transmission fluid with 4 quarts of oil. the trans
fluid is a high detergent that loosens up sludge build up in a motor from
lack of oil changes, you will be amazed at what pouring 1 quart of trans
fluid in a neglected motor can do. the truck in this video got a double
treatment and now runs smooth with no taps and the check engine light went
out as soon as I started it. also after the second treatment I changed the
oil & filter and the clumps of sludge that were left in it broke down into
the oil from the trans fluid and it flushed it out. I
I realize I bash fram oil filters in this video and any filter wouldnt have
helped in this case because the truck was so neglected any filter would
have pluged up. howerver,,, Fram in my opinion is cheap crap.and over the
years of having hundreads of cars I can honestly say if you have 2
identical engines 1 using Fram the other using Wix or Napa the Fram motor
will die prematurely due to lack of filtering.
