Thrush Welded muffler SPL test With Pontiac 406
1967 Pontiac Tempest with thrush welded mufflers. his test was to see what kind of spl we could get out of the car at various areas around the car. This has Hedman headers with 6 ft of straight 2.5" SS pipe to the Thrush mufflers. Then it exits via mandrel bent Flowmaster 2.5" tailpipes.
Audio is a little crappy. I apologize, the camera isn't designed for great audio. But they sound mean!!!

96 Crown Victoria P71 H pipe with Thrush Welded mufflers
After running side pipes with no mufflers or H pipe for a couple years, I finally got pulled over for it. I decided it was time to put mufflers back on, so i put the original H pipe back on with a pair of Thrush Welded mufflers and some turndowns. Too quiet for me, but it still has a decent sound.

cheap Exhaust job i did on my '93 gmc sierra 4.3L. Parts used: a thrush welded muffler 2.25" center inlet/dual outlet($32 from Summit), 10' of 2.25" aluminized Exhaust pipe(about $17), one Exhaust clamp(about $3), one universal hanger ($5), 2' of 3.00" pipe used for tips($4). $61 total. the welder and Exhaust bending machine sure come in handy.
1967 Tempest new camshaft Ultra Dyne 220/226 @ .050 in Pontiac 400
Traded my friend Robert for this camshaft. Came already broken in with a matched set of lifters. I swapped it out over the last month or so. I still have to install the temp gauge in the car, so I am not running it that long yet. Put around 2 miles on it. PULLS!!!! Hard!!! I have to find the coil bind on the springs. might have just increased redline!!!

1995 2.3L Ford Ranger w/Thrush Welded Muffler
This is my '95 Ranger I uploaded for those guys curious about how a chambered muffler would sound on a 2.3. I am running the stock cat, resonator delete, and have added this muffler. It's 2 1/4" piping from the header to the muffler and goes into a 2" single Exhaust pipe. Muffler cost me about 37 bucks at Advance Auto Parts. Well worth the money and sounds great. Almost no interior drone as well.
