70 Double Blown GTO
My 1970 GTO with two blowers. It's 474ci Pontiac engine with a 8-71 blower on top of a 6-71 blower. This is from the last day of being double blown. I'm going to one single 8-71 blower and going racing. The front clip was removed to make it easier to work on. The reason for the double blowers was not as a power enhancement like many ASSume. I stacked the blowers to have a car that stood out in the crowd. Most Pro Street cars were starting to blend together. If you seen one, you had seen them all. That wasn't the case with this GTO. Al someone had to say was "The double blower GTO" and people knew which car. I was told it couldn't be done, so I attempted it and it worked. It stayed that way for almost 2 years. I knew a twin turbo setup would make more HP. I knew I could have run a 14-71 blower and made more power. That wasn't the point. I wanted to be different than the other cars in the parking lot, I did that now it's time to ove on. For all those people who don't understand why, I'm not going to try and explain it to you anymore. Get over it. I didn't expect EVERYONE to love it. But you won't forget it.

1974 PONTIAC GTO - A SHADOW OF IT'S FORMER SELF
So this is what the GTO had become by '74. Not even close to those glorious and super high powered GTO's of days gone by. But very simliar to the compact Pontiac Ventura and the Chevy Nova, sharing the wheelbase, frame, and body of both. Only 7,058 of the GTO were made this year making this a very rare car indeed. The "upgrade" to a GTO cost $195.00 but you got a hood scoop, distinctive grille AND a 350 cid V8 engine that cranked out 165 horses. So, maybe it's a miniature muscle car. You can still see Pontiac quality in this GTO from front to back. The decals are still perfect. The interior flawless as well as the paint. You can eat off the engine block. What you have here is a perfect original survivor that has a character of cuteness about it. Would I like to own this? You bet. It's still a winner. Thanks very much for viewing this rare and perfect 1974 Pontiac GTO.

Jim Wangers Special Edition Pontiac GTO Revealed Ahead Of Official SEMA Debut
Big Three Performance of Green Bay, Wisconsin reveals the limited edition, one-of-fifty Jim Wangers Edition Pontiac GTO at their second annual car show. The car is set for an official debut at SEMA, but Big Three Performance, which did much of the work to the car, surprised media and bystanders by taking the covers off it before the SEMA debut. Jim Wangers, the "Godfather of the GTO", started up the car, a tribute to him, and revved the motor near te end of the video.

Little GTO
Perhaps the first true muscle car was the GTO. Made by Pontiac between 1964 and 1974, it was just one brainchild of Pontiac's chief engineer at the time, John DeLorean. During my tour of the GM Heritage Center in Sterling Heights, Mich., HC manager Greg Wallace introduced me to the original 1964 model GTO and "The Judge," the 1969 model GTO, whose name came from a comedy routine, "Here Comes the Judge", on the "Laugh-In" TV show.
