2010 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDi 51 mpg avg, cruising highway 60+ mpg PRIUS BEATER
VW TDi 2.0L 140HP cruising at 65+ mpg on highway cruise control set at 56mph flat road (indiana). Average seen (51mpg) is over my 23 mile commute of mixed highway and city driving!
51mpg average on this trip. On longer trips I have had up to 56mpg average including starts and stops.
I routinely get 700+ miles out of a 14 gallon tank of fuel.
It is a PRIUS (Pious) BEATER in EVERY WAY!!! ...and no negative long term effects to the environment (unlike Prius when the batteries need to be disposed of).
