Custom 1985 Mustang Project
This 1985 Mustang was literaly pushed into my shop. The owner had some crack head working on it and was getting nowhere quick. This car will be transformed into a ride right out of Fast & Furious. Lambo door hinges, ground effects, strong motor, custom interior and a radical custom paint job. If only I could have started on it first!

1985 D1r procharger, stage 3 trickflow cam, twisted wedge ported heads, f.a.s.t., 40 series 3in flowmasters, 83lb injectors.

1986 Mustang professionally rebuilt 5.0L by Seifker Automotive. Ported and polished heads, intake and cammed, K&N filter, rebuilt power steering and water pump. New 4 core alum rad with twin elect fans, new red rad hoses, new MSD cap. rotor and wires. 255 LPH fuel pump, new fuel filter, new double platinum Autolite spark plugs, K&N filter, new heater core. Rebuilt 5-speed, Hurst shifted, long-tube headers to off-road H pipe (no cats) to Flowmaster 40's to chrome tail pipes. King Cobra clutch, smog pump and pulley removed, alum. rad tie down clamp. New computer with chip, alum driveshaft, 2.5 inch fiberglass cowl hood, new headlights, factory locking diff; drag shocks, Lakewood controll arms, welded subframe connectors, 17X9 Chrome Cobra wheels, 245 BFG G-Force Sport in front and 275 BFG Drag Radials in rear, battery relocation to rear hatch, 12" Kicker L7 sub, Kicker KS series door speakers and MB Quart rear speakers, new tint, sunroof, blended hatch wing. Custom red fade to black on bottom paint.

1986 Mustang LX - painting from start to finish
Sometimes I take on daunting jobs that I am way under qualified to do and film time lapses of the process.
I am no professional painter by any means, however, After many expensive quotes I decided to paint my car at home, I researched all the info on Google, spoke to some pros and started down the unknown path.
It took 2 weeks to complete the process, with a couple days off here and there of course. With an investment of under $100 and some elbow grease, my dad and I got er' done.

i don't own the music. It's survivor's eye of the tiger and white zombie's black sunshine. Just a compilation of the process my wonderful boyfriend went through in a period of 8 days fixing his "new" 86 Mustang GT 5.0 hatchback. It started off with a nasty red color and ended with a sick ass black primer finish. He also put in some 373's. So just enjoy the vid and listen to that Baby roar in the end with some clean burnouts...
